I bought this case for my iPod video 30 GB. Unlike other reviewers, I haven't had a problem with the fit--it seems to fit snugly in the case. It's also true that there is no plastic covering where the screen goes (and thus no extra protection, but I'd rather avoid the potential glare there and am content with my iPod's screen cover. The headphone jack hole is nice, as you can listen to the iPod while its in the case, and the product also features a belt clip. It does have a tendency to lock my iPod when I pull it out of the case, but that's a minor issue. I've been happy with this product overall, and it hasn't scratched my iPod like I've seen other cases do.
Low Quality Craftmanship!!!!!.......2006-03-09
I read the other reviews and think they refer to another product but the rating applies to this product for low quality as well. This item is a black sideways case that opens up to reveal the cutouts for the screen and clickwheel of an iPod Video. These cutouts are the problem I have as the case from the outside does not look that bad but these cutouts are deformed!!!!!! the screen area is more a trapezoid than a rectangle and the stiches are uneven and sloppy. The cutout for the clickwheel is no better, as it can be called anything except for circular as it should be. It is also deformed and badly stiched!!!!! As if this all were not enough there is another defect but in the design. The ipod video 30GB is half the width of the 60GB model yet they sell one case to fit tem both. I have the 30GB model and the fit is horrible!!!! The case is just too loose for this ipod!!! They should have made two different versions but they figures 1 would be good enough for both!!!! Thy are so wrong!!!! The hole for the headphone and the old switch are off as is the bottom conector hole!!!! Not totally unusable but off enough that you have to fiddle to get them in the right place to conect to the ipod. Another design problem is that to watch a video you have to hold the case with both hands like a book and carefully as the the side towards the center is the opening for taking out the ipod and it is just one big hole so the ipod can easily be removed and to try and watch a video with one hand folding the cover around the case might permit the ipod to slip out and fall to the ground, not a very good thing!!!!
Well I hope Sumo better designs their future cases cause this one is very very poor!

Each time you try to stick it on it will only come off in the next 15 seconds! It dosn't even protect the screen! Beware people! dont be like me and buy stuff that you dont even know what it looks like!

The Thin Film Fresnel screen brightens the picture and sharpens focus while the fine-pitch lenticular screen surface achieves 20 percent higher resolution, with black stripes to increase contrast and dark tint to reduce reflection.
It has a built-in 181-chanel NTSC tuner, and Sony's Digital Reality Creation MultiFunction feature upconverts the analog NTSC signals to near-HD quality. You do need a separate HDTV tuner to receive high-definition broadcasts. The KP65WV600 has a Hi-Scan 1080i display that accepts the full 1080 interlaced scanning lines or 720 progressive scan (720p) from an external HDTV receiver or a compatible high-definition digital satellite receiver. It also accepts 480 progressive (480p) scanning lines from compatible DVD video sources.
The built-in DAC (digital acoustic chamber) speaker system has 20 watts of power output each. They produce TruSurround SRS 3D audio and simulated surround sound. You can view JPEG images captured from Sony digital cameras and camcorders using the built-in Memory Stick slot. Choose from an index of the images stored on the Memory Stick, or you can run a slideshow of those images.

Aspect ratio: The aspect ratio refers to the shape of the video image. Standard television has a 4:3 aspect ratio, which is almost square in appearance. Digital television will have either a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio, which is widescreen and appears rectangular, looking more like a movie screen and filling more of the viewer's field of vision for a more lifelike viewing experience.
Scanning method: Frames of video are made up of many lines of video that are scanned onto a television screen so closely they appear to be a solid picture. The scanning method can be either interlaced or progressive. Interlaced scanning (also used in today's analog TV), indicated by an "i" in the video format, fills in the odd number lines (1,3,5,7...) and then fills in the even number lines (2,4,6,8...) until the frame is complete. Progressive scanning, "p," fills in each line consecutively until the frame is complete, like a computer display.

I love this TV & so does my entire family. It is now time to replace the lamp and it is no where to be found. This is a great TV if anyone has the space for it. We really didn't but I used to work at Sony so I couldn't pass this one up.
