I've had this product a while, and when my existing headsets wear out I'll be buying the aluminum version. There is no discernible quality improvements, and for triple the price it isn't worth it for the titanium housing. With daily use threaded in my Scottevest it's starting to have sound quality issues from frayed wires after about 16-20 months of use. Save your money

I have been using the ATH-CM7ti for a while now. I had been using the Apple earbuds before with my iPod.
The CM7ti's are much better sounding in all regards - better highs, more solid bass, just overall much better. The bass is not very strong due to the earbud design. The in-the-ear models would no doubt be better here, but I don't want that level of isolation from the outside world. They are also more efficient, so you get more sound for your milliwatt too!
They fit in my ears as easily as the Apple earbuds, although they are noticeably heavier. The quality of construction is first rate. The carrying case is worthless.
If you want a fabulous-sounding earbud, look no further.

I picked these up to use with my Sony HD5 Network Walkman. For comparison, I used the stock earbuds that came with the player and a pair of Etymotic ER-4Ps.
For earbuds, these are really the best i've ever heard. The highs and mids are rich and seperated, almost as good as the Etymotics. The bass is lacking, but this is to be expected with earbuds. The bass is great compared to pretty much all of the other earbuds I have ever used, but definately not up to Etymotic standards. I don't like the isolation of in-ear canal headphones, so this is a tradeoff I can live with.
If you are looking for a bass boost, get a pair of hearbuds (search for HBUD1 onm Amazon.) They make these things POUND with bass, but they do dull out the mids and highs a bit. You can compensate for most of this with an equalizer.
Also, the cord comes in two parts for those of you who are using remotes for your mp3 players (very convienent).

I had B&O earbud and switched to this. And O&B may have sightly deeper base but overall sound is more livable with AT.
