Unlike the other review I read here, I'm relatively satisfied with this case.
I bought it after my iPod Mini fell several time and got nasty scratches on both its sides... I was starting to be afraid of an internal damage.
The case itself is hard and very protective. Unfortunately it did fell from my hands a few times, and because of its firmness no harm was done.
I see no problem of using the scrollwheel, as suggested here by CeeCeeSun's review. I'm using it effortlessly for all the basic needs.
Two minor cons, however:
(*) The screen shield, although protective. is highly-scratchable. Within a week of the case in my pocket, it got scratched so bad that I cannot see the screen clearly without the backlight on.
This is pretty bad, and I'm looking for some cleaning solution right now.
(*) As said before, the belt clip's pivot head gets freed easily, and the belt clip falls from time to time. Actually, the belt clip itself is rather big and clumsy and I rarely use it.
But overall, a nice product that does what it's there for.

but the touch wheel is harder to use.
I bought this case about a month ago and immediately put my baby into it. Since that point time I had a harder time turning it off/pausing, adjusting the volume, using the back and forth touch points, and setting a stop point in a audiobook. This is the result of the mini being recessed into the case.
I took my mini out of the case today and had immediate ease of use with the touch wheel again. The case will protect your mini without a doubt - but you lose the functionality that the wheel is so popular for.
Also, make sure you tighten down the pivot head with a screwdriver since I nearly almost lost my mini because it came apart from the belt clip.
I'll only use when absolutely necessary now.

Easy to install and pretty sturdy. Nice finish. The only gripe I have is it didn't look exactly like the picture. The back panel was different. On the picture, it had a 3-4 inch vertical back panel. The item I got was a removal full back panel. But, I just left off and looks good that way.

These mini hubs are twisted pair hubs intended to connect eight IEEE 802.3 10Base-T network segments through one unit. Each hub has one twisted pair port specifically designed with an uplink (cascading) capability supporting a Media Dependent Interface (MDI/MDI-X) crossover switch. Four hubs can be cascaded together to form an independent workgroup. These mini hubs utilize the latest IC and Surface Mount Technology (SMT), which increases functionality and reliability. Additionally, these hubs are very small in size yet they provide the complete functionality of large hubs including packet regeneration and network partitioning. The packet regeneration results in a higher performance network by regenerating preamble, retiming the data packets and extending collision fragments to ensure collision enforcement by all nodes. Each segment automatically detects the polarity of the receive pair and reverses should the pair be incorrectly installed. The IEEE defined link integrity test function continually monitors the receive pair to ensure link continuity. It also includes a partitioning capability where each segment automatically disconnects itself after repeated collisions are detected. These mini hubs support jabber lock-up protection on all interfaces, preventing transceiver lock-up resulting from packets that exceed the maximum packet length. Network diagnostic LEDs are provided on the front of the mini hubs to aid in monitoring system and network performance. There is one LED associated with each twisted pair segment that indicates "Link OK" (indicating an operational segment.) Additionally, there are three central LEDs indicating "Activity," "Collision" and "Power." Installation of these mini hubs is simple and straightforward. For desktop use, self-adhesive rubber feet are provided. For wall mount, the bottom of each chassis contains two "keyhole" openings for hanging on wall protrusions (e.g. screws.)
