I bought this as a refurbished. It was quite good peice, but it has weak noise. I don't know whether it's because of refurbished one or its nature.
Even weak noise makes me annoy. So, I gave up using this product.

Over the past 10 or 15 years I've probably owned 10 different wireless headphones. The latest type I've tried is a Jabra A120s Bluetooth Music Adapter/Motorola stereo headset. They all have the same problem. To many wireless devices operating on to few frequencies. I thought I might get away from this problem using a digital device (Jabra,Motorola). The problem with Bluetooth is very short range. I find inside my house just stepping into another room not more then 10 feet away causes this system to become very intermittent (the sound goes on and off all the time). If you stay in the same room, I would say this is by far the best system. But if your like me and you want to move around wearing wireless headphones the Sony MDRRF920RK 900 MHz Wireless headphone is the best one that I've tried. I would say I can go about 75 to 100 feet away from the transmitter before I loose reception. All the others I've tried are constantly going out of tune and blasting you with static. That's not to say this will never happen with the Sony, I'm just saying it happens allot less often. There's no manually tuning with these. If it does go out of tune all you have to do is lift the headphones off your head for a second, put them back on and they will automatically re-tune themselves. Another thing I like about these is that there's no on/off switch. When you take them off, they turn off, when you put them on, they turn on and that saves battery life. I would agree with other reviewers regarding the battery charging system not being very dependable but as I said previously I've used wireless headphones a long time and I've found that the rechargeable batteries have such a short life that I gave up trying to be green and went back to Duracell Alkaline batteries. The reason I added "unfortunately" to the end of this review title is because I'm still hoping for a wireless headphone that won't have radio interfearance problems from other wireless devices (they all have some hissing and buzzing at times due to this) and at the same time have a reception range thats allot greater then 10 feet that bluetooth offers.

Excellent headset, very light-weight and comfortable. Clear sound. Having had wireless headsets off and on over the years, and purchasing this one after wearing out my IR, I pretty much knew what problems to anticipate. These use the same frequency range as old cordless phones, no problem, got 2.4GHz so not an issue. The sound output is also very dependent on how much sound you can crank out at the source; no problem either, have it hooked up to my amp; with the volume halfway cranked it has plenty of power for very clean and vibrant sound. Docking for charging is a little weird, but just slapping it on the station and rotating it slightly seats it and there is a clear indicator that it's seated correctly when the charging light turns green. Another nice feature is the ability to use standard triple-A batteries as a backup. Overall, a great product. Dinged it a star because of the proprietary rechargeable batteries.

This Sony wireless headphone is far, far better than any IR phones out there, but be advised that the 900 MHz RF signal is sensitive to radio interference that WILL create static. The headphone ear pads are extremely comfortable and I can wear them for hours without complaint. You'll love the way it fits your head. (This is not true of many inferior earphones that fit like a torture device!) A nice feature is the automatic on-off switch built into the headband strap. This prevents me from drainng the batteries, which I would certainly do. The AAA batteries are rechargable types, and work well with the charging base. But you can also install conventional AAA batteries in a pinch. The charger base is awkward to use, as the headphones do not make contact with the electrical prongs without some major jiggling. In closing, my only gripe would be that RF interference is the most annoying thing. When there's no interference, these are wonderful headphones!

This is the worst Sony headphones I have even come across, they have too much of static and basically waste of time, I have 4 other type of Sony headphones and never had any problems whatsoever, these are crap and not worth $ 5/- + they don't even deserve the 1 star.
