Only useful for DVD playback.......2007-09-07
This DVD system does not have an aux input, so the speakers can not be used for anything else, unless you have a receiver to directly connect to the 5 speakers. So, I boudght a receiver, but I am not sure the subwoofer works right by itself (in the DVD setup, the subwoofer would receive and redirect all the channels from the DVD). As an entry-level model, it is thus not very useful: who wants to buy a separate receiver, which would cost as much as the whole entry-level system? Just look for a DVD home theater system with aux input if you like to use speakers.

Is it doing anything?.......2003-06-17
This product was easy to install, and when I turned my computer back on - Wow!, I had 128 more megabytes of memory.
Unfortunately, except for the readout on my computer about more memory, I have seen no other sign that this product is working. My computer is not any faster, I cannot open any more programs at the same time, and some computer games which could not be opened because I didn't quite have enough memory, still can't be opened.
I phoned to get help from Viking, and they were friendly, but said the readout on my computer that says I have 128 more megabytes of memory may be the only sign I have that the product is working. This product may be doing great things inside my computer, only I wish it SHOWED some sign of this in my daily computer use.
