great fit, great sound, but didn't last long.......2007-09-12

I run a lot both outside and on a treadmill, and I sweat a lot. These were the best headphones I have had so far. They are the only ones that actually stayed in place for the entire duration of my long runs. Its a comfortable design, where the earbud doesn't really go all the way in your ear, only about half way, and then the clips hold them in place. It took me a while to figure it out, and it takes a few seconds to put them on, but like I said, they are awesome. Everything was great until today (about 3 months since I purchased them) when the sound started cutting in and out (on both ears but at different times). If I hold the cord in the perfect spot the sound is good, which indicates that its an issue with the headphones. Honestly, I guess its not that bad to have put them through almost daily abuse for 3 months, and only now to be having problems.

Great looks, Mediocre sound.......2005-02-12

I've owned the DAV-c990 Dreamsystem for over two years. Looks great in my living room, but the first thing I noticed is it just doesn't have the best sound, especialy for music cds. Movies sound OK. I am currently having problems with it reading discs, ejecting discs etc. I've gone thru all the troubleshooting I could find in the manual, on line and thru Sony. It still doesn't work.I've learned from research on the web that many people have had the same problems. I hope I can get mine fixed. I recomend moving on to a different unit or brand.

Design flaw - when you are listening to the tuner and you eject a cd, dvd, the tuner stops
you get the cheapest of cheap cables to connect it to a sony tv - bought incidentally at the same time. (Sony tv has s-video connection at the side - great for camcorders but damn all use if you want to connect it to this unit permanently)
speakers should be wireless for this money.
Wanted to like this unit but very, very disappointed. Looks are deceiving.

THE HEIGHT GIVES MORE GOOD SOUNDS WHERE YOU SOUNDS LIKE ON THEATRE.MAYBE THE SOUNDS MAKE SURROUND IN YOU IF YOU WATCH MOVIES IN YOUR HOME.SO IF I HAVE THIS HOME THEATRE, I WATCH AND WATCH. I NEVER LIKE THE OTHER PRODUCTS LIKE PANASONIC, JVC, SAMSUNG. ETC. ... After shopping around various stores and online retailers for a week of two, I found Amazon offered at the lowest price. ...It arrived a few days later, and I couldn't be more pleased!
The satellite speakers in the towers are amazing. I don't know how such small speakers can be so powerful. The one downside I noticed was that the subwoofer is not as powerful as it could be (maybe it if it had it's own amplifier, Sony?).
Overall, the system is awesome. It is extrememly easy to set up, even for those who have trouble with eletronics. The DVD player provides some of the crispest images I've ever seen. As a home theater system, I am hard pressed to see how it could do any better.
