The radio is great, I use the FM transmitter to send the signal to the radio in my Ford truck. The sound quality is super! I have been using it for over a year and have had no problems. Since I got satellite radio that's all I listen to!!

Wasn't sure at first if the larger size would bother me. The Audiovox Express was my other choice at about half the size. I've decided it easier to work controls and such with the larger unit. It's definitely great to be able to pause and playback sections. Nothing worse than getting a phone call during important news or a great comedian and missing out on what was said. Got a Skyfi boombox at Crutchfield for $70 and was really impressed with the sound for a small unit plus it has great looks.

If you're a radio channel surfer, music enthusiast, or road trip junkie, this is a must have unit. I had the original Delphi Roady 2 Satellite Radio system, it was stolen, and now we've upgraded to this superior designed unit. I like the large, easy access tuner/channel selector knob, it's easier to manage as you are driving when compared to the earlier version. The display is must better than it's previous version because it displays 5 channels ahead on a brightly lit screen, much better than the Roady 2! The remote control makes this SKYFi2 legendary because you can drive with your left hand and hold your remote control in your right hand rest your arm on your arm rest as you make your selections. You don't even have to look at the screen as you change the channel and drive! The customer service from XM was fantastic, install was super easy and the set up over the phone took like 5 minutes. The only thing I don't like about the newer version of SKYFi2 compared to it's older version would be the cradle it connects to, it's difficult to disconnect and rather bulky compared to the more simple bracket that held the Roady 2. That's a small gripe, and I'm willing to suffer that small flaw because it's definately a better design, has better controls, comes with reliable customer service, and get's great reception in the flats of New Mexico and Texas-where regular radio and cell reception is dead! When you need reliability, count on Delphi!

Grossly Overpriced.......2007-12-24
I think Bose created its entire "Lifestyle" series to charge people who do not like excessive technical complications. What a waste of monies! I looked at Bose Lifestyle series when I wanted to upgrade my home theater set up. Simply going to the store and listening to various surround systems was enough to drop it from my list of probable options. Here's my 2 cents, keep in mind that I don't claim to be an audiophile, just a discerning listener. First off this system does not sound bad. The highs are nice and crisp. The acoustimass module is smaller than most powered subs (infinity SW-12 for example). In fact in a store, Bose systems sound very good to the untrained ears, not to mention the WOW factor for smaller speakers and the high "WAF". However, you can buy a Sony, Panasonic, Onkyo, or an Infinity 5.1 home theater system for half the price (1/4th if you are a bargain hunter). Any of these systems will significantly outperform the 2K Bose system in a heartbeat. Bose paper diaphragm speakers simply cannot match the Infinity MMD diaphragm speakers. Build quality of Lifestyle system is not what you would expect from a $2000+ system. Cheap plastic construction with el cheapo connectors. You will have a tough time connecting a 14 gauge speaker wire to the jewel cubes. The Bose acoustimass sub is not really a sub at all. It has a 5" speaker which is more typical of a woofer or a mid range speaker than a sub woofer. It simply cannot move enough air to deliever the deep bass required for special effects. The acoustimass has a "Band Pass" enclosure which makes it loud and boomy (like the thump thump car that your neighbor's son drives:)at the cost of bass accuracy. The bass is very "muddy". For a test try listening to some music with kick drums on a bose and compare it to a Polk or Infinity. Overall, this is an overpriced system with mediocre sound. If you have 2000K to spend on home theater set-up, you can get a much much better sounding system than Bose. If you like simplicity, go with a sony/onkyo/infinity home theater in a box and save yourself a ton of money.

I own the 35 and love it. Our audio is better than any other house I've been in. Unmatched performance. Once you buy bose you'll never go back.

System sounds good, but for a product that is marketed to be technologically ahead--the component connection looks like a backyard fix (they could have added a dedicated connection on the base unit) and the remote control does not work on IR (its an RF system), which means you need to run an IR emitter cable to the other components from the base unit (unless the base is very close to the other component--TV, cable box, etc.). Also, other remotes will not work with the system. I upgraded from a Bose 123 system (which uses an IR remote so it doesn't share similar problems). Overall--dissapointed.
