Got this for the GPS I gave my parents last year. Very easy to use, can be positioned securely on various dashboard configurations, and can be accessed easily by passenger or driver. Also makes sharing between cars much less of a hassle. Definitely recommend over suction mount, which leaves an ugly ring, and even melts to windshield, requiring a razor to remove.

I was concerned about the mount for our c330 . A sliding GPS certainly would be a distraction for any driver and could contribute to an accident. This tripod mount is very secure on the sloping surface of our dashboard. We recommend it highly. Sensibly priced.

This was worth the price. We use three vehicles including a motorhome and it works in everyone of them. Put it in place with the GPS on it and it never budges. There is nothing to connect, nothing to clamp, nothing to stick to and it works. I was kind of leery about getting it but it makes moving the GPS so easy.

I bought this for my father in law who has one GPS, but two cars in their household. We have borrowed their car and GPS and the GPS always falls off the windshield and then we don't want to leave it on the windshield when we park the car, so we take it down. The windshield mount was always a hassle and usually as co-pilot, I was assigned to hold the GPS. Then I heard about this product -- we sent it for Christmas and he loves it! It can easily go back and forth between the two cars, it holds the GPS securely but can be easily hidden away when you park the car.

Wobbly but Stays in Place.......2008-01-01

I like my Garmin C330 but the windshield suction cup would let go at the most inopportune moments (around a corner, in heavy traffic, no wonder some states have banned them). So I needed something more stable and the dash mount was the way to go. It doesn't slide or fall off and is more secure and confidence inspiring than the windshield mount ever was. My only problem is that the windshield mount (when it held)was rock steady and this thing allows the Garmin to wobble unless I have it wedged up against the glass (I guess that's the trade-off). Otherwise, I would have given it a better review but it stays put no matter what so that is the important feature.
