Apothecary Style CD cabinet with 6 drawers.......2006-07-19
Very pleasing cabinet made of solid wood; arrives in excellent condition. Hardwood, possibly oak. ("Walnut" is a reddish-brown stain.) Excellent construction. Drawer runners are made of 3/8 x 3/8 solid hardwood and the drawers are very easy to remove, even with one hand, making it easy to organize CDs. Not recommended for DVDs; the space is better for CD size. The six-drawer unit is best. It has smooth top and bottom, so it is easy to build a "modular" assembly where you have 2 or 3 or 4 of these 6-dwr units stacked on top of each other.

Topo6 does not work in the 3D mode with many new laptops that run microsoft Vista and dont expect it to work anytime soon.

This map program will not work properly in Windows Vista with certain Intel chips. It has no 3d maps as advertised by DeLorme. Works fine with Windows XP. Vista users better wait for Topo 7, if and when it is released. Read about all these problems with Vista on DeLorme discussion board

I agree with all the failings already posted here. And, in my case and many on the Delorme forum, we have been waiting months for Delorme to fix the problem with Topo 6.0, as it will not render 3D maps in Vista with Intel 915-945 chips found in new laptops. Delorme technical is ignoring all questions about it, and has no patch. I give it one star, not because the overall application is that bad, but because Delorme refuses to admit the problem at all.

the learning curve is a little steep for topo usa, but certainly do-able. i really like the profile feature. it is quite useful if you pull a trailer. you can easily see the steep grades. i still prefer ms trips and trips(ver. 2004)to plan routes, and topo usa to review the route.
Excellent program.......2007-07-15
If what you're looking for is a program that gives you topography for any linear distance shown on the map, this is THE program to use. This program is very nicely organized and provides ease of access to most everyone. I use this program to obtain elevation profiles on long distance bike rides and have found this extremely useful in terms of planning how far & where I choose to go. The elevation profile feature is something unique to Topo USA, as Garmin MapSource TOPO and Microsoft Streets & Trips lacks these features. Highly recommended if you're planning an outdoor trip!!!
