The SV1 tuner is equipped with a one-line, 12-character dot matrix display that switches between the channel name and number, channel number and category name, channel number and artist name, and channel number and song title. The display also offers a sports option: simply press the Display button while listening to a game to toggle between the team names and the current score. You can even flip the unit over for reverse mounting without sacrificing readability or functionality. Other control panel details include 30 presets of your favorite streams, with six banks of five streams each; a preset scanning function; and direct channel tuning via the remote control.

The SV1 also includes a built-in FM transmitter that sends Sirius radio programming to your vehicle's FM tuner, so you don't have to make a direct connection to enjoy the full array of channels. Simply select an empty FM frequency on your radio and tune the SV1 to the same frequency (the transmitter supports up to 100 frequencies). The transmitter also works with other FM tuners, such as the one on your home stereo, but is easily paired with the car thanks to the vehicle kit.
Additional features include an adjustable audio level that matches other sources in the vehicle; a parental control function that restricts off-color material to children; adjustable brightness and contrast controls; a 3.5 mm mini-jack line output; and a 2.5 mm sub-mini jack FM output for use with an optional wired FM switch-box accessory. Affordable at the sake of audio quality.......2007-10-10
This is my second unit of this model. The first one lasted over a year. I had no apprehensions about buying this one to replace it. I'm a Sirius subscriber for the talk radio programming and this unit delivers suitable sound for that. However, I would never buy this if I inteded on listening to music. If that is your preference, I would recommend a more sophisticated/expensive unit...maybe something hardwired into your vehicle. Bottom line: sufficient for talk radio, bad for music, can't beat the price.

I was searching for a good price on an antenna for my Sirius car receiver. I was shocked to see I could buy an entire new system through Amazon for less money than the antenna alone from most other vendors. Amazing!

I bought a car radio with the aux input recently and I am using it with this unit. It works like a charm. I just switched from xm last week and I feel that the music selection is better on sirius.

I have gone through four of these units. Several were defective out of the box. Sirius has the best customer service and replaced defective units without a problem. Buy at your own risk. However, you know it is backed up if there are problems.
Sirius One SV1 works but has limitations.......2007-07-22
I've got 2 of these receivers and have learned to like them. They both exhibit the same problems: 1. low RF output - I plugged in an external home-made antenna wire, problem solved. 2. dim, small display - don't have a fix for this one, I just live with it. 3. high temps in the vehicle cause the display to blank out, though the radio still works. You can get this gem for about $20 if you shop around and that's about all it's worth. I use it mobile in a company vehicle and it's size and portability make it ideal for my purposes.

Yes, it Works Great.......2007-12-02
I've had it nearly a year or more with no complaints. When the cartridges ran low, I have refilled them myself many times without any problems, I'm cheap. Have to deal with that annoying message every time I print saying my cartridges are low, no biggie. It prints quickly, and quietly. The printing is crisp, the colors great. It comes with the usual software, one plus, the scanning software. I had literally hundreds of old photos I wanted to put on a CD for my daughter. I put four of them at a time on the scanner bed, it scanned, and saved them as individual scans, that sped things up allot. It has the typical Optical Character Recognition Software (OCR) to allow you to scan in a document, and turn it into text you can edit. I really have no need for this anymore, but I played with it, and was really surprised it made no mistakes in translation! The old OCR software I use to have often would confuse an "e" and turn it into a "3" or an "r" in a "4". The buttons on the top of the scanner are well laid out and easy to figure out. Out of all the all-in-one printers, this is a keeper.
