Ensures premium reception for your Sirius system - NOT!!!.......2007-11-14
I had been searching for something to help with my poor Sirius reception at home. I was very excited when I found the Monster Cable MSR-ANT-HM Sirius Home Antenna, it seemed like the perfect answer. It wasn't. The bottom line is it is exactly the same as my stock "non-premium" antenna. Same size, same reception. I had 3 bars signal strength with my old antenna and 3 bars with my Monster antenna. The only difference is the word "Monster" on the front. If you are looking for help with poor reception I suggest you look elsewhere, this antenna is NOT the answer.

I have a Kenwood Sirius setup in my car, but the antenna connection became loose so I tried this one out as a replacement and surprisingly it fits much better than the Kenwood one - even though all my gear is Kenwood branded. The snug fit and larger antenna size contribute to a more reliable signal with noticeably less dropouts than before.

If you're in a situation where you can't place your sirius antenna outside, then the Monster home antenna is a good solution to a bad situation. Since I started using this antenna, the number of drop outs I get is 75% less.

This thing really does stay put on my dashboard. Beats trying to affix my StreetPilot on the windshield (it would never stay put).
Better than the suction cup.......2007-11-23
The suction cup which attached to the window worked fine for about a year, then it failed repeatedly causing the GPS unit to thud onto the dashboard while driving. This unit solves the problem, and works reasonably well. I deduct one star because I find that over sharp speed bumps the unit slides down the dashboard (though I'm driving a large SUV, not a smooth as silk luxury car). A velcro attachment to the dashboard would likely fix this.
Overall a good buy.

Works great. Don't have to worry about the suction cup constantly popping off the window. You can move it from car to car.

I've been using this for about a week now and it's sitting on my dash and not moving. This is a big improvement over having the suction cup stop working and the i5 (Garmin) falling to the dash OR the sun melting the suction cup while it's on the windshield.
