The Audiovox XMH-10 Home Kit for Xpress XM7 Satellite Radio Receiver lets you take advantage of your Audiovox Xpress XM7 receiver, and bring the power of satellite radio into your home. This home kit is easy to use, and lets you pipe all 150 digital channels of XM satellite radio through your home stereo or entertainment systems.
The Audiovox XMH-10 provides you with a low-profile docking station for the Audiovox Xpress XM7 receiver, and requires this receiver (purchased separately) in order to provide you with XM satellite radio. This home kit comes with an audio cable that can connect your XMH-10 docking station to any audio device or entertainment system with standard RCA audio inputs. The weather-resistant, window-sill antenna that comes with this kit is equipped with a 20-foot connecting cable so your home dock can be placed conveniently close to your audio device, while the antenna itself is placed in a location with clear visibility to the satellites above.
The Xpress XM7 receiver is what controls your XMH-10 home kit with its own buttons, including display, search, menu, rotary/select knob, power/IR eye, memory, preset/direct, jump, and 10 presets/numbers. The display button lets you choose between artist, song, title and data service info, while memory lets you store up to 20 song/title/artist combinations so you can look later at something that caught your interest. Not only does this receiver provide plenty of music and radio stations with dynamic means of searching for desired content by artist, genre, or others, but can provide you with a stock ticker that allows you to monitor up to 20 stocks, plus it offers information extras so you can follow things like the scores for your favorite sports teams. Furthermore, you can set your XM7 receiver to automatically turn on and off when power comes on or goes off, and can have it turn off via a sleep timer that can be set to 15, 30 or 45 minutes, or even 1, 2 or 3 hours. For added convenience, the XM7 has an IR remote control that can operate most of its features with buttons that act the same as those on the receiver.
The Audiovox XMH-10 home kit's docking station can attach to your stereo system via either an audio cable, or via the Audiovox XMFM-1 FM direct adapter. Either way, crystal clear satellite radio with over 150 digital channels gets piped directly through your home entertainment system or stereo. This unit even includes an auxiliary audio input so you can use it to connect an MP3 player or other peripheral audio device to your stereo, and it's backed by a manufacturer's limited 12-month warranty.

I go the Audiovox XM receiver as part of a promo with a GM vehicle so I didn't really expect much. But it works quite well and I hardly listen to regular radio any longer. The home stereo kit works perfectly but since there are basically no moving parts its hard to screw that up.

I am very impressed with the clarity of sound from this unit. I have experimented with a few of the setting Sony provides..there is also a Night setting that tones down the bass and sound so what i am listing to will not disturb others. There is not a separate bass adjustment..but after listening to the quality produced while watching a variety of movies i feel an adjustment is not needed..the bass is full when needed and not overpowering.
I am amazed how the verity of sounds can be divide up between the 5 speakers and the bass speaker and how it fills the room. I still am tricked hearing a sound from behind me just to realize it was from the speakers..
I am very happy with my Sony dav.dz100.
The unit i purchased was refurbished ...but other that it saying it was refurbished on the box..i would of never know..
