This product does work to split an XM signal to two receivers. In my case I have a receiver, and a Delphi wireless repeater to allow XM in a bad reception area of my house. I can listen to both at the same time no problem.

I have never printed anything in color with this printer - just titles on CDs that I use for backups. I got the low ink message. I tried to ignore it, but the printer stopped printing. I bought a black ink cartridge at over $20 including tax and it started printing, but everytime I got the screen showing the 5 non-black cartridges were out of ink (I have never printed anything in color). This is obviously by design. If everyone would file a complaint with the government, probably the FTC, we could get them to investigate to see if Epson has the firmware programmed to force you to purchase ink. Note, after about 8 CDs with the new black cartridge, the printer stopped and I can't figure a way to make it print. The small screen says I must change the 5 non-black cartridges. If anyone knows a way around this, please post here. Too bad Brother does not make a CD printer. I have had several of their products and all are good quality and reasonably priced. I have a brother multi-function printer that prints beautiful color prints - unfortunately there is no way (that I can tell) to print on a CD.

Printer ink an issue with most printers.......2007-03-31
Most all printers use a lot of ink. The best way around this is to buy off brand ink . I have had no problems with this. My print quality is still fine. I have 2 epsons and 1 lexmark printer . I am also a photorapher and spend quite a bit for ink. You can buy off brand ink for a small fraction of the price of epson.
Prints, Scans and Copies well - ink is a huge problem.......2007-02-06
Here are the facts, you decide if you'd tolerate this:
-After 6 weeks the blank ink was low and the others were about 40%.
-I replaced the black and all the others suddenly showed that they were also empty (although I didn't print anything in between the time black was low and replacing and I rarely print in color.)
-To replace all cartridges with genuine EPSON products is about $90, I went to 5 large office retailers before I found out COMPUSA is the only retail location that had all colors available.
-After replacing all catridges, I received an error message that the cartridges could not be recognized.
-Epson help desk troubleshooted and then informed me that this is "a known problem". Epson offered to fedex a new printer. I declined figuring I didn't want to have the same issue next time I had to replace cartridges.
-The scanning is great, printing is easy to use.
