Worked and then failed.......2006-01-01
I bought two of the hubs in June 2004. One of them failed in about a month of using it with a HP/Compaq Laptop. IOGEAR replaced it for me. I am now using it with a Dell Laptop and it seems to be doing fine. The other one I used with a Mac for about a year and a half now and it has failed. I am beyond warranty so I will go with a different hub to replace it. It does run hot so I think it must have good ventilation to hold up well.
Problems Galore.......2005-12-01
The idea behind this product is great: create four USB ports in the place of a single port and make the package small enough to be inconspicuous and eminently portable. IOGEAR did a fine job with the latter; this hub certainly is small and easy to carry about. Unfortunately, where the product falls short -- way short, I'm afraid -- is in its dependability.
It so happens I have four USB devices I've tried to use with the Microhub: an external hard drive, a printer, a wireless mouse (the receiver plugs into a USB port) and an iPod. For each of these devices, the Microhub either caused the device to work improperly or flat out failed to recognize it.
Using the mouse was an exercise in futility. The mouse tracked poorly and the Microhub would execute phantom click actions without me even touching a mouse button. That's pretty frustrating when you're trying to close a window and instead the document starts scolling down.
As for the iPod, external hard drive and printer, they were as good as gone. Microhub didn't recognize a single one of these devices, causing me to ask "What's the point?" I've got four devices and four USB hubs, and only one of them works (and erratically at that). I'm actually better off *without* the hub. At least that way I can use my mouse without wondering when it will decide on its own to open a context menu, slide down to the bottom of the screen or simply freeze in place.
To add insult to injury, this so-called convenient piece of hardware heats up like an iron. When I'm off to take my laptop with me somewhere, am I going to put this lava chip in my pocket? Try again. The only reason I haven't thrown it out yet is because I'm soaking it in a tub of ice water so it doesn't smolder in my trash basket.
My suggestion is for you to save your pennies for something more useful like, say, a pair of sole-less shoes.
Problems, Especially with Windows 2000.......2005-05-22
This is one moody little device. I use both Mac and PC. With a Mac, this device usually works pretty well; but sometimes for no apparent reason it just stops working for a while and has to be unplugged and plugged back in. It is not compatible with Windows 2000 on lots of computers, including my Dell laptop. When Windows 2000 comes out of standby, it stops recognizing the hub until you either restart your computer or unplug and replug the device. On XP this should not be a problem, but other users report that some of the ports stop working after about six months.

Uncanny, but my hub had the same problem - mine lasted for about 1 year, but now the middle two ports don't recognize devices.
Wierd. When it worked I loved it, though.

Great case for your Magellan GPS.......2007-07-26
This case is large enough to hold the GPS unit, power supplies and mounting bracket. My only complaint is that it came with two large styrofoam inserts that appear to be used for the GPS unit! One is all that is needed and the other can be discarded since it will not fit into the pouch with the other parts. The case is sturdy and has an adequate zipper that should not fail under normal use.

A necessity if you want to store your Magellan either temporarily, as when you park so no one will be tempted to steal it, or to keep it put away at home until you need it again. Also a good idea to have if you move your GPS from one vehicle to another.
Nice, But Generic.......2007-06-27
Very nicely constructed -- durable and light. However, if you're looking for something that has pre-formed foam placements for your Magellan GPS, you won't find it here. The case comes with two oblong foam inserts that come close to fitting the Roadmate form factor, but obviously were not made with that intent. There are also velcro straps that you can use to secure the foam inserts. To make this fit my Roadmate 2200, I had to add additional foam inserts and cut out sections of the supplied inserts.

This case has room for all adapters, and cords. Perfect for swapping it in and out of all our cars and RV. Use it all the time. Would be nice if it had bands to lock parts in place like some portable computer bags do.

I purchased this case for my Magellan Roadmate 2200 series GPS. And while the case does hold all of the components it is a little large and oversized. But heck I'm not complaining it gets the job done.
