Mac Users Beware of this Item........2007-12-27
Despite what it says on the side of the box and the manufacturer's web stie, this device is not Mac-compatible. While there are some "Mac Hacker" sites on the Internet that gave detailed instructions on how to force this device to work with the Mac OS, ultimately, I could not get it to work with my MacBook Pro and Canon S600. I returned it to get my money back.

It works great for printing. I would have given it 5 stars except that the fax and scan functions don't work with the Panasonic KXFLB811 I have attached to it from network PCs.

Do not even bother buying this thing the software that comes with it is totally unreliable!
This thing is a total waste of time and money!

Do Not Buy; Look for another print server.......2007-11-15
The setup was fairly straight forward and it did actually work, but barely. The print speed is MUCH slower than you will get when connected directly to your PC. As you can imagine the online tech support/FAQs were not helpful.
Things got worse from there.
Turns out that you need to 'reserve' the printer in order to print to it, however the application that does this is pretty flaky.
- If you run XP and use a Limited account, you are out of luck, the application crashes.
- If you put your computer into hibernate mode, you are out of luck, the application will fail to reserve the printer (no error messages).
- It's useless if you want to use Linux.
Occasionally the print server will have an error (there's a small red LED that is displayed in this case (if you have this print server sitting behind something you'll need to haul it up to see if the red light is on). In this state only power-cycling the unit fixed the error.
I'm really disappointed; Netgear typically has good stuff.
Piece of junk, backed by the WORST customer service in the industry.......2007-10-30
Do NOT buy this product. I have used several wired print servers before, ALL without problem, THIS is the only one I have ever come across that doesn't work well. The print driver repeatedly goes to "sleep" and may or may not wake to print. FORGET about Netgears customer service, unless you like wasting your time. Netgear's policy is, the first THREE responses will be canned ones that have NOTHING to do with your issue, then they bump it to "level 2" who then proceed to waste AT LEAST another week providing more canned responses that indicate they have no idea what they are doing and no training. Well, at least Netgear employs people in 3rd world toilets so they won't have to starve. Buy a different product, this is junk.

Sturdy and easy to use.......2007-12-12
I have this for over a year now and even it is falling a lot - we have three kids in the house - it is still working a 100% It is also easy to program. I have 2 audio amplifiers that are not listed with a code, but both are working fine with remote to remote command transfer.

I have a Samsung LCD tv, Sony home theater, Dish network and a sony dvd player.
Expect for the home theater remotes works excellent for the other three things. For home thetare - if we are not playing DVD then we use the DVD option on remote and then we get the desired functionallity.

This is what I have been looking for! My TV and DishNetwork sat receiver BOTH came with crappy remotes. The TV remote needs to be less than a foot from the TV to work. This does all of the sat receiver functions and the commonly used ones for the brand "Z" TV. One word of caution: the instructions for "learning" the old remote aren't clear. When you press the button to be programmed on the One for All remote, the LED lights for 5 seconds. The instructions don't warn you that the button on the old remote must be pressed DURING that 5 seconds.
Ergonomics are excellent. Although the buttons are small and appear to be close together, my arthritic hands have no problem with hitting the wrong buttons as they did with the Dish remote.
Part 2: I just added a Panasonic DVD recorder, again with a poor remote that doesn't work well. This One-For-All saved the day again! Positively BRILLIANT engineering! Something that is lacking in most of today's electronics.
Excellent Remote - Good Value.......2007-07-28
This is an excellent remote and they have a ton of codes. And it will learn a bunch of items. They also allow you to send it in to add a new code that they may have that is not in the list. Hence the reason for 4 out of 5 stars. The URC-8910 allows you to download the code over the phone...but this model you have to mail to them to add. But still the One For All's that are learning are the best in the business... I tried Harmony / Universal Remote brand and a few others...but One For All is a great company for support...I highly recommend.
Easy to Use Learning Feature.......2007-06-17
I bought this after I got fed up with the reomte that came with my Viewsonic Nextvision N6. This remote replaced the N6 remote and a Universal R5 remmote with bad learning functions. The One For All 6-Device learning remote worked great and only took about 15 minutes to get it set up. It's a great bargin.
