The Sansa Shaker also comes with a convenient SD memory card slot, giving you the ability to play and share SD cards loaded with your favorite songs. The Shaker comes pre-packaged with a 1 GB SD memory card--enough memory to hold up to 250 songs.
Changing songs on the Shaker is a snap--or rather, a shake. You can impress your friends by shaking the device to jump to the next song, or use the colorful controller bands for forward and backward track control as well to manipulate the player's volume output. Running on one AAA battery, the Shaker offers up to 10 hours of continuous music playback with a new or freshly charged battery. The Sansa Shaker comes with a convenient lanyard (a great feature for use during exercise or just hanging out), pre-loaded songs so you can jam out right out of the box, and a colorful array of stickers to customize the device. Compatible with Windows XP operating systems and the Windows Media Player 10 media application, the Sansa Shaker measures 2.82 x 1.57 x 1.57 inches and weighs only 2.6 ounces. The player comes backed by a one-year limited warranty.

Perfect Player for the Pre-teen..........2007-12-19
This was the perfect December birthday gift for my newly-turned-8-year-old daughter! She was utterly speechless when she opened the many layers of wrapping and saw "my own ipod". Big Sis corrected her: "MP3 Player." I was very happy that it came pre-loaded with a few songs just perfect for her age. She and her two companions were able to start dancing to the music as soon as the package was opened and the battery inserted. I just LOVE this little device. The built-in speaker is perfect for sharing the tunes. It gets plenty loud for them all to hear, even over their chatter, but not so loud as to be annoying to us folks. The speaker sound is quite good for what it is and considering the audience. (Don't expect it to sound exceptional to the trained ear.) She also isn't able to turn the volume up too loud with headphones --a nice plus for the young age group. She loves that she can `shake' it to the next song. Most of the kids who have this will probably be great at Name That Tune with the fast succession of shakes I've heard..."I can name that tune in one note"...shake to the next! It comes with all the necessary accessories including software and the cable to hook it up to the computer. I've used neither of those, however, as it's so easy just to put the card into my card reader and drag and drop the music she wanted. Though I find it not to be a problem, my biggest time-consumer was downloading a free converter to convert my wma files to mp3, as this player only recognizes mp3 format. But even that is not a detraction to this great little player. I've read other reviews that the bottom falls off, etc., but I really don't see how that could happen unless it was forcibly pulled apart instead of the little `twist/click' it takes to remove it and replace it. It does take smaller hands than, say, my husband's to get the right grip on the bottom. The design is quite good for the aimed market, namely 6-10 year olds I'd say. Even younger if headphones aren't being used. And I'm going to plug the brand itself. I bought my husband a Sansa last summer because the price was right. But I was happy with the quality, sound, and size, too. And after my 8 year old's birthday her sister turned 13 and I got her a different model Sansa--her favorite feature of that model is the FM tuner so she can record her favorite songs on-the-fly (something not even an ipod can do). I won't be looking at the more (overly) expensive models of MP3s anytime soon! I highly recommend this player and this brand!
Very kid proof - highly recommended .......2007-12-15
I bought one in blue for my kids - 3 years old and 5 years old. Very kid proof and durable. They have really given it a beating, and it still works great. It's easy enough for young children to work. The built in speaker is great, so are the dual head phone jacks. The only reason I gave this product a 4 star rating instead of 5 is because the battery runs out quickly and the bottom lid always falls off. A piece of tape and rechargeable batteries solve those problems, but maybe on their next version they could fix those things. Over all, I would buy it again.

Purchased this for a 9 year old and it is just great for the price. Picked it up for $30 delivered with 1GB of memory. Would highly recommend for someone looking for simple MP3 player. No screen, but well worth it for kids requesting MP3 player.

Alarm Problems.......2007-12-10
This clock's projection feature works great. Crystal clear and easy to read when projected onto my white ceiling.
Temperature is within less than 1 degree when compared to my home weather station. The remote sensor links up well but is only about 30 feet outside from the bedroom window.
CONS: As stated in other reviews, the alarm goes off at midnight also when set at 6:00am. No biggie, I will use my severe weather monitor (I live in tornado alley) with clock/radio as my alarm clock.
Overall a great clock spoiled by a quirk in the alarm electronics.

I just received my Honeywell Wireless Weather Projection Clock with a Light Detector,PCR325W, and I must say it's awesome! I absolutely love being able to look up in the middle of the night and see what time it is so easily. The letters are extremely easy to read, even without my glasses. Getting it all hooked up the correct way simply means taking your time and reading the directions through once before pushing buttons or installing batteries. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this clock to anyone. What a great gift idea for any age! Thanks Honeywell, I love it!
Nice projection clock.......2007-11-04
I bought my wife one of these -- worked great out of the box. I mounted the remote sensor in a tree about 15 meters from the unit; worked fine. the ability to adjust the projection angle is great -- we have a vaulted ceiling in our bedroom, and that feature alone sets it apart from other projection clocks. I'm ordering another as a Christmas gift for my parents.

Just take your time and read the directions. I lost mine but found them online @ Honeywells website. Projection during the day is useless, but I knew that before I bought it. The outside and inside temps are accurate. Projects outside temp with the time. I definitely recommend this.
Not perfect.......2007-10-24
We put this item on our wedding registry on amazon despite the comments from other reviewers about the quirky and malfunctioning alarm function. I was hoping we would be lucky enough to get a unit that was fault-free. Well, wishful thinking b/c the alarm does not work, of course. And it does have that quirky habit of going off at 12:00 am no matter when you set it for. Even if it did work, it would not be any good b/c the beeping is loud enough to be mildly annoying when i am awake. when i am asleep, it would fail to wake me. Other than that, the clock works ok though (that is why the 3 stars). if you happen to have a clock radio on one night stand that you could use as an alarm clock and this one on the other side just for the weather (like we are doing right now) and nightly time projection, you can make things still work. The readings are accurate. The display is light sensitive. There is a switch for the backlight and the projection so that you can turn either of them on or off as you like.
