cam.......2007-10-03
It needs a batter program with it.it well mass up sometime when you are useing it.
My Suggestion: Leave it!.......2007-07-20
Okay, so I got this webcam a few years ago as a gift, which is nice 'cause I don't have to buy it. BUT THE QUALITY IS HORRIBLE!! Now that more and more web cameras are coming out, better quality ones are of reasonable prices.
Move on, get a better web camera. This one's getting TOO old.
For one thing, I had to have MAXIMUM light everytime I use it - which is hard when you're online at night when all you have is your room light, which is usually not as bright as the sunlight. Then even when there's maximum light, all you could see is basically outlines! you can't see details in the picture, which sucks.
So... for any purposes, personal or business, DO NOT buy this camera because you will just cry in regret.
Oh and the prices says it all ;)
Veo Does Not Support Their Own Product, I wont either!!!!!.......2005-07-07
I purchased a VEO CONNECT... 333V ****DON'T DO IT!!!They have a web site that is all dead links, they have updated software downloads that aren't really there... They will not return email. And the phone # doesn't go through! I am not talking about "I tried once or twice" Im talking both I and the seller have gone back to the site almost every day for over a month now. Still no help, no email, and NO SUPPORT! The CD rom bundled software they included with the cam, does not up load... And they will NOT HELP!
Good camera.......2004-12-26
It is worth buying for simple uses like for seeing family and friends. I received as a gift. It is very portable and will sit just about anywhere and has a nice focus right on the front.I would recommend it.
The only good thing about this cam..........2004-10-22
The only good thing about this cam is that it allows you to uninstall the software that comes with it from your PC. So you can return it and move on.
The cam doesn't work well with my MSN and Yahoo messenger. It can not be turned on most of the time. I have to unplug it from the USB and then re-plug it in. Really painful.

Great cam.......2004-10-16
This is the second web cam I have owned. The first was a $20 Intel cam, which I didn't like. I paid more than $50 (around $70) and I am pleased.
I don't take photos, nor do I record videos with it, so I cannot comment on those features.
I do use it every now & then to let my family & friends see me. I have a torchiere lamp with a 20W fluorescent bulb in it angled toward the lens. I can see myself just as well as the my family & friends can.
I recommend this webcam.
resolution not likely.......2004-06-17
Just got the camera and read the fine print found only on the bottom of the box. It says, "Resolutions supported by hardware for third party software compatibility. Not supported by Creative Studio." The software it comes with only supports the usual 640x480 resolution. I didn't see any advantage from the optics or the USB 2.0 functionality, but then mine came with a busted focusing lens. I'm sure Amazon will take the return no problem, and the free shipping that was supposed to take 5-7 days miraculously brought me the camera in a single day, but I won't be ordering another one all the same.
Poor quality.......2004-04-28
This was my first vid cam so I didn't have anything to compare it with. The only person whom I talked with previously on vid conference had an old vid cam so I didn't see a big difference. Then a family member called and said he just bought a new vid cam (a Logitech Quickcam 4000) and I couldn't believe the difference. I can see now why the Veo Velocity is getting such a bad rap. It's well deserved. It's very grainy and jittery, and doesn't work consistent in any light, not to mention very poor in low light, even with the 2.0 USB card. I'm not much into the vid conference thing, but since it looks like I'm going to be in touch with my family member now on a steady basis, I went out and snagged a Logitech 4000 and am very pleased with it.
Don't settle for the Veo Velocity cam. If you are communicating with someone who is using a Logitech, it will only remind you what poor quality your Veo is.
Disappointing.......2004-01-06
The previous reviews for this product are right on the money... This cam looks great in the daytime with the shades open, but once night falls, in order to use it , my computer desk has to look like a photographers studio.. I have several lights blinding me just to get a decent picture.. also I find I am constantly having to adjust light to make my image viewable. When I bought this cam, I also fell for the impressive stats, but they all go out the window at dusk..
To dark.......2003-10-14
I have a problem getting the cam to turn up the brightness. the adjustments don't seem to work.
the camera doesn't work unless I point a bright light and what I'm taking a picture at, even in the daylight.

Don't even bother.......2005-12-17
I bought this case because I hoped it improved upon the faults I saw in Garmin's, which I also own. Unfortunately, it addresses some of the problems, but its own faults far outweigh its advantages.
What I saw as its greatest advantage was that it covers the case completely--Garmin's leaves quite a bit exposed. But it fits the GPS quite poorly. The case is a slapdash affair: the stitched seams contain a great excess of material protruding past the stitching; this bunches up between the case and the GPS. The plastic covering the display and the sets of buttons on either side is cut overlarge and is attached unevenly (visible if you look inside the case). On my sample, the plastic side panels (cut-outs in the Neoprene for accessing the buttons) are so outsized and uneven, the stitching from *completely different seams* runs through part of them. Too bad--the display plastic actually shows the GPS display somewhat better than Garmin's case does. As is, it interferes with GPS placement. Partly because of this poor construction, and partly because of its overall design, the GPS buttons can be difficult to access while in this case--the thick Neoprene tends to get in the way of the buttons, and requires fiddling to get it adjusted around the GPS. If a description that the case looks like it was assembled by a Cub Scout for a badge project sounds like an exaggeration, I assure you, it's a minor one.
The mere inclusion of the plastic on the sides is odd; I believe the GPS is water resistant anyway. The openings could have been made larger and the plastic omitted entirely. The area on the case for the click stick is entirely open anyway--so much for water resistance.
With the Garmin case, the GPS is inserted through the top; with this one, you use a zippered opening at bottom. This is an unfortunate design; since the USB port on the GPS is at its top, you can only access it by completely removing the GPS from the case (with Garmin's case, you only need to undo some Velcro). Similarly, the GPS's lanyard connection is also blocked off.
The snap bolt-type clip is not only rather cheap looking, but it's too small to attach to a belt; and since the GPS hangs freely from this clip, it'll bounce around as you walk. The Velcro loop is essentially useless. Though the manufacturer calls it a "belt/bike handlebar" strap that can be "secured to your backpack, belt, or even your bike/jet ski handlebar," this is a fantasy. It's so small, I can't fit it around anything larger than my thumb.
This case simply isn't worth it.
