1. Resolution may vary based on printer driver setting. Color ink droplets can be placed with a horizontal pitch of 1/9600 inch at minimum.

Great Printer.......2007-12-22
I got this printer free with a rebate when I bought a new Macintosh. I wanted something to do basic printing with and I wasn't disappointed. It's very quick, print quality is very good, and it was trivially easy to get it working on the Mac. I mostly use it for word processing, but I've recently printed some photographs out of iPhoto and the results were surprisingly good, with excellent color accuracy on the first try and with no fiddling at all. One nice twist -- you can easily print on both sides of a sheet of paper -- pretty amazing the first time you try it.
All in all, it's a very nice printer and for the price I paid (free with rebate), it can't be beat.
Great budget printer.......2007-12-13
The title says it all. This is a magnificent budget printer. I bought this with my macbook black and expected a little cheapy 100 dollar printer. Instead i received a wonderful little printer that could. It takes 5 ink cartridges, all of which are VERY inexpensive (like 10-15 a piece) and they also last a LONG time. I print pictures on maximum quality at 300 DPI and i am given wonderful, life-like prints in return. SO far i have not seen any artifacts within the images (the little lines that go up and down to show where the print-head was). All in all i was very impressed with this product. I can't quite think of anything to say poorly about it. I would suggest this printer to a friend. Something you may find interesting is when you open the top, it illuminates the ink and shows each ink level. I've printed probably a dozen pictures with this and its hardly even touched the levels :-). Best of luck!
DONT BUY THIS ITEM !.......2007-12-13
Since replacing my faithful old ip3000 with this heap of garbage I have been continually frustrated by cartridge chip failures mostly the yellow (4 seperate NEW) carts & the blue intermiitantly (reseating it seems to work) when starting print jobs & half way through.
Canon Australia's help has been worse than useless - its going to the tip today and I am going to buy something else !!

I was looking to replace my old printer & was impressed by other reviews of this printer. Got a really good price & was delivered quickly. Set up was quick & straightforward. Prints are clean & crisp. The mechanical operation is quick & quite, be sure to set this preference during your initial set up. Overall I couldn't be happier.

Antenna Worked ...But.......2007-08-02
Antenna eventually worked well but only after returning the antenna and all other recommended buffalo components (at Buffalo's request) since didn't know source of problem. 2nd antenna eventually worked but only after MANY MANY hours both attempting to contact technical support and talking to someone who sometimes was familiar with this product. Found it to be very sensitive directionally at relatively short ranges (ie. 100 yards) so used a laser leveller to point the antenna. Found also that the buffalo router which was connected to this antenna lost significant omnidirectional signal strength and we had to acquire another router/access point to recover wireless strength around the original router. I'll give this product a rating of "3" ONLY because it eventually worked and because I did not find any other integrated systems from the other household/small business router makers whch include such a high powered antenna in their product portfolio. Had we not used 100% buffalo components though I'm not sure we would have gotten the support or had the leverage needed to resolve the problems.
