I got the Bluetooth version of this printer and I paired it with a couple of Sony Vaio laptops. So far everything has worked extremely well. Printouts are better than I expected from a inkjet. The fact that it can travel and run off batteries is a huge plus! This printer hasn't let me down yet. The only thing that I wasn't so jazzed about was the size. It's not big for a inkjet printer, but it is awfully big to put in the bag with your laptop to carry around while you travel. I wish they could figure out a way to make it thinner.

A Nice Mobile Printer.......2007-06-01
I work out of my truck a lot. I needed something to print contracts as well as aerial photography from time to time. This printer has done the job VERY nicely! I only wish I had it sooner. I connect it to my laptop via the USB cable. I have not used the wireless function. So, I cannot review that aspect of it.
But, I can tell you that used via the USB cable, this printer works quite well. It prints both contracts and photos just fine.
The battery seems to last for an extended period of time. The included software seems good, and it works great for printing documents while on the go.
I have not had it long enough to review the life of the ink cartridges. But, so far, they seem to be lasting the normal amount of time. The monitoring program seems good at telling you how much ink and how much battery life you have left.
If you need a compact and mobile printer to use on the road, I recommend this unit highly.
Wi-Fi Is NOT Included in the 460WBT.......2007-05-25

I have just installed my new 460WBT printer and discovered that wi-fi is NOT included in the 460WBT. It only comes with a Bluetooth card. I must have miscommunicated with the gentleman at HP when I understood him to say wi-fi is included in both the WF and WBT.
In order to use wi-fi with this printer, you have to buy a wi-fi card (or purchase the 460WF, but then you wouldn't get the Bluetooth card).
I am very sorry for misleading anyone with my earlier review. I have marked the erroneous sections with ***.

After researching the 2 portable printer options available on the market (Canon Pixma IP90 and HP460), I've decided to purchase the HP 460WBT.

I became confused when I read a comment here on Amazon stating that the 460WBT doesn't include wifi. I called HP Sales and did confirmed that the 460WBT DOES include wifi. The gentleman told me the 460WBT is the exact same printer as the 460WF with the addition of the Bluetooth card.

Even though I don't currently have Bluetooth capability on my laptop, I am choosing the WBT over the WF since it's only $5 more. (To purchase the Bluetooth card separately is $88).
In an effort to help others save some time, here is what I finally deciphered about the HP 460:
HP 460C = No USB Cable / No Battery / No WiFi / No Bluetooth
HP 460CB = No USB Cable / With Battery / No WiFi / No Bluetooth
HP 460WF = No USB Cable / With Battery / With WiFi / No Bluetooth

I haven't used the BT, so cant review that aspect of the printer. Overall, it's a dependable printer. The battery life is good. I carry a Dell E1505 and the HP DJ 460 in a back pack with no problem.
