Easy Operation
The PictureStation operates just like a digital camera. The newly-designed user interface allows you to select, edit and create your own prints easily. Choose your images with the nine picture thumbnail display or enlarge the image to delete unfocused digital pictures. When it's time to print, simply insert the memory card to the printer, select the picture with the LCD monitor and push "PRINT." It's that simple.
Dye-Sublimation Technology and Lamination
The PictureStation uses advanced technology to ensure that every print you make is sharp and vivid. First, the printer's thermal head heats the ink ribbon for precise control and density control. Then, PictureStation delivers 256 gradations for each of the three colors used per dot, resulting in smooth, rich, high-definition color prints. The PictureStation also offers color resolution of 256 levels by three colors and a general resolution of 300 x 300 dpi.
Sony's unique lamination process protects photos from color shift and fading. Super Coat 2 also protects your photos from water, heat and fingerprints. Image quality is preserved for years to come, even when displayed on a wall for a long time. Memories may fade, but your pictures won't!

I just received this photo printer as a gift through my company, and was very hesitant at first because it was a SONY product. Since I was looking to purchase a photo printer in the near future I decided to give it a try.
The printer is very intuitive and easy to use. Just plug it in, insert your ink cassette, paper, and your SD memory card, select your picture and you are ready to print. If you want to print through your computer, just plug in the USB cable and you can print through the computer.
The print quality is superb and looks just like a picture you would get from any store.
If you need a little photo printer this would be the one I would get. Maybe I will change my opinion aout SONY after all.

I have used a lot of printers to print photos. This is by far the best ever. It doesn't require ink cartridges so no more drying out issues. It uses a ribbon and the print quality is incredible. Also, the picture stock and ribbon come together in a set when you buy them. There is enough ribbon to print all of the picture cards in each set. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

I actually received this printer as a gift and was hesitant because I thought the paper and ink refils would be expensive. But they weren't at all.
The printer itself is pretty compact and very easy to use. It's great that it has the memory card slot and you don't need to hook it up to your computer.
