I received the Coby MP-C541 MP3 player as a gift and I love it. It comes with 125 MB of built in Flash Memory, but can use an additional SD memory card of up to 512 MB. The 128 of memory is plenty for me. I switch my music out every few weeks, with the USB cable it came with. Music is pretty easy to download onto the player and I like that each song displays the title and artist on the LCD screen. The volume is on the side, there is a lock button on the back that slides up or down. There is a very simple menu to navigate, the navigation button is a joystick type controller. This is the first MP3 player I have ever used, besides a palm pilot, and I don't plan on getting a different one until this one dies. It also can record vioce as a digital recorder and when you play it back it sounds very good. It's nice for memos or other such things. The only thing that keeps this product from rating a 5 is the earphones it came with. The earphones don't fit in my ears and the necktrap/earphone combo is great, only I can't use it. I called Coby Customer Support and the guy had a magazine in front of him with the same pictures I found on the Coby's product website. He couldn't really reccommend a set of earphones that came with a neckstrap that I could purchase seprately. Other than that, it is a great MP3 player, if you have big ear canals for the earphones, lol.

A Decent Machine.......2007-03-06
I've had this player for about 3 years now, I think. It's served me well. My only problems with it are that you can't change the AM/FM tuner from the remote, but can only switch from preset to preset. So if you like cruising the stations without having to get up and interact with the actual machine, this isn't the radio for you. Also, I noticed that the CD player on mine seems finicky. It'll take some CDs, and not others. But the CDs it won't take play fine on any other player in my house. I put this down to extreme sensetivity to scratches, but maybe it's just my unit. Overall, it's a 4 star machine. 4 stars because the sound really is great.
Great Sounding Stereo System!.......2006-11-03
I've had mine for 2 years and is a great unit, but the CD player isn't that great. A lot of my CDs skip, but does a good job playing some of my homemade CDs. The cassette player broke after 2 months. It has great sound though and the FM reception is great. Using speaker wire as an antenna I get stations very clearly. So I give it 3 stars.

absolute garbage.......2008-01-02
I give this one star because it is nice that the phone works even when there is no power to the unit. The rest of this unit is garbage. The blue background is WAY to bright (like sleeping with the lights on) even on the dimmest setting. If you use th dim setting you can't see the numbers. You can change the contrast, but it doesn't work well. So if you can't SEE the time, and the LIGHT keeps you up all night, what good is it? After one night, my husband said, "return that piece of -----.".

I like this product. It does have a few flaws such as the bright light and the crazy high pitched squeaking noise that occurs when you are hanging up the phone. But....
I normally just put something infront of the light at night so I can sleep and I wait till the other person has hung up so that they don't go temporarily deaf from the high pitched squeaking noise.
I love that it has a dual alarm feature and that the volume can be turned up pretty loud when your favorite song comes on. It also is a great space saver.
The two features I would add to this handy device is a dimmer light and a cd player. And if the squeaking noise would go away this phone/alarm clock would be perfect.
Clock Died After One Year.......2007-12-20
After six months the clock started going haywire whenever the 9V backup battery was installed. Now the clock has stopped working completely after 11 months.
This is not the first newer "inexpensive" alarm clock I've had do this. My 15 year old clock is still keeping perfect time but two replacements for my wife's clock have died in less than a year.
Display too bright, poor radio reception.......2007-12-11
Great little compact design, but the display even on the dimmest setting, lights up the bedroom like a night-light. The radio needs an external antenna for rural areas. I really like the vertical design so buttons are not pushed accidentally. The functions are easy to set.
GE Clock radio.......2007-11-30
The display area for time, etc is too big and too bright a light. The light can be adjusted some, but even on the lowest light setting, it's still too bright in the bedroom for me to sleep. The digital time display is a darker blue and the surrounding area is light blue. It lights up the whole room like a very bright night light.
