The ARC5.0 Rave-MP player from GoVideo puts literally days of music in the palm of your hand. The tiny player's massive 5 GB hard drive holds around 1,250 songs or 83 hours of your favorite music (4 minutes per song, 128 kbps audio). A USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection ensures lickity-split downloads and supports both MP3 and WMA audio formats from most online services (including WMA's Digital Rights Management). Bought this few years ago from CompUSA at closeout price of $50. Don't use it whle jogging or excercising - I have a smaller flash memory based unit for that (hard drive units are not meant for active life styles). Everything works, have had no problems with it. I get little over 10 hours of playtime per charge. I recommend leaving it plugged in to AC outlet when not in use. FM reception is average, sound quality is ok. The earphones (came with two) are cheap (like most that come with players). Out of style now so don't recommend buying one (also company probably no longer exists).

I don't know why everyone is complaining about this product. This company has always stood for quality. I have had no problems in the 5 months that I have owned this item & I have really enjoyed it.

Bought a Rave mp player for my daughter for Christmas, she's used for one month and one week it died on Feb 4. Tried to contact Rave mp on their customer service number but it's disconnected. Tried to email via their website and it doesn't work. Apparently this company no longer wants to do business with any customers, they just took the money and ran. Bought through Comp USA's website, Comp Usa so far has been no help in getting a replacement, getting it repaired or refunded. They say since we bought it on line that we have to go through the manufactor. Don't buy this product and stay away from online sales at Comp USA since they will not back them, even through the store with receipt.

This unit went dead within a week of receiving it. I contacted customer service and received an RMA# from "Jose Gonzalez" along with instructions on returning the unit. I shipped the unit by UPS, someone at the company signed for it, and I never heard anything else from them (this was over a year ago). They refuse to answer any e-mails, and their customer service number has appaently been disconnected. Over $100 down the drain....

In short, don't buy it; it might be cheap, buy you will not like the performance. And to make the story worse, Rave does not have any customer support. I got no response when i called them. Email too, they offered no help either
The only thing good about the player is that it comes with a free hear phone

Terrible GPS (NVX226).......2007-12-13
I bought the GPS NVX226 (Ver. 2) about one year ago; used one time on the trip to Los Angeles which had given me lots of headache, the device has bad antenna it takes 5-10 mins to search signal for satellete and sometime I have to reset/reboot 2-3 times to make it work. The preloaded map is outdated, I can not find any stores around my neighborhood: Safeway, Savemart, Target and Walgreen. I paid for more than 200 dollars on this unit and feel very sorry for that purchase. If you are on the search for GPS, try Tomtom, Mageland or Garmin. Those brands are much better.

If you paid more then $10 for this, you were ripped off like I was. Software issues galore. Special turn off sequence required, and it tells you to make illegal turns. Customer support does not exist.

I bought this a while ago for just below $200. At first I had difficulties making the thing work, and then I realize all I had to do is stand outside wait 5 minutes and it worked like a charm. The voice is very clear and its easy to use. It has its little faults on the touchscreen but other than that, this thing is quite good. i would recommend it.

The NVX226 has a known software problem that requires the buyer to return the unit upon purchase. It doesn't recognize the state of Louisiana. They only have one technician that is able to work on the units. It took 3 weeks for my unit to be returned to me. Upon receiving it, I discovered another software problem and was told to return it a second time. Audiovox doesn't do refunds. I would not recommend this unit to anyone.
Great features but kept locking up!.......2007-01-10
When I did my anaylsis for features vs. cost the audiovox came out very high on my list. It was very simple to use, it came with the maps preloaded on an SD card, it had an excellent mounting bracket, multiple views and many POI. I knew I was in trouble when I first went to use it I had it hit the reset button. Once I did that it worked great for the day, but the next morning it was locked up again and I had to reset it. With each reset I lost my waypoints. It did everything it advertised, but it just kept locking up (it is a windows based product so I should of expected it). After about 4 or 5 more attempts I boxed it up and shipped it back. Very disappointing.
