This is a great MP3player. I got it for my Tenth birthday 5 years ago and i'm listening to it write now! I love it and I do not think I'm gonna get a new one for a while!
Small but Good.......2005-11-13
I got this player in 2001, as a freebee from Apple with an iMac.
I used it constantly---32 MB doesn't hold many songs, but it was wonderful for commuting on the bus, walking or biking. I used it every day, right up until I was given a 30 GB iPod.

I've had my little Rio for 5 years now and am passing this little jewel on to my youngest son for part of his 15th birthday. For what it is, it's an excellent little player. I use it when I'm studying and when it runs out, I know it's time for a break :-)
My only complaint about this is that I can't seem to find the memory pack anywhere now.

Yes I bought in early 2000 it is nearly five years. At that times this player was incredible and as I can see it is still around, and still so.. The memory was high that times now it is a little small but I put my best songs and it is enough for that. Since they are my best songs I repeat and repeat. It is robust great functioning but it consumes batteries terrible. Even it is off it consumes so take the batteries away. I bought NiMh batteries to charge and carry more than one in journeys. USB is very good and to put songs is a childs play. The software makes WMA's automatically from your CD's. Even cddb support is there. The colour the shape is still buzzy and awesome. The buttons are quality. A negative point: there is no radio. It would be better with radio. There is even playlist and other funcitons related that I found ridiculous because with just 32MB it is one playlist and it's enough.. maybe they thought about the legendery "backpacks" to boost the memory which is impossible to reach especially here in Turkey..
Sound quality is brilliant and crystal clear. A must for travellers and gadget lovers (that's me!:)
Cheap but Good.......2004-09-27
I have had one going non stop for 3 months and it hasn't given up. I use one to pipe in about 30 minutes of background music in a room that people visit. The software was OK and it got me up and running. It plays WMA files which are smaller then MP3 files and heck I can't tell the difference.

Although I was a bit shocked at the price (if I had any skill with carpentry I would have built shelves) this storage unit was easy to assemble, looked pretty nice, and held a LOT of my paperback books, which was the primary reason for buying it (and not for DVD or CD storage). An innovative way of attaching to a wall for further stability was appreciated. Shelves were easily adjustable. My only complaint was, like most put-together shipped items, there were a few minor blemishes, scratches, etc. from shipping.

worst product I ever used!.......2007-12-05
It is the worst product I ever used. I bought it in Dec 2006. I used it for just several times during the following half an year. Both its software and hardware suck! Its map and directions have too many errors. Not clear voice reminder to turn. Display is very confusing. And it dies from time to time. I have to reset it for many times when I was driving on the highway. In May 2007, I found its all maps disappear automatically. I have to send it back to reinstall. I got it back after a long time. Then I used it again in Nov 2007. I found that it does not have all the maps. It has the map around my home, but no map around my destination. Anyway, I used it for half of the trip, but when I was on the highway, its screen became black, no display, no any voices. I cannot turn it on/off. I cannot reset it again. It is totally dead!!!!!!!!!! I guess I used it for less than one year, totally less than 30 hours, but now it is totally dead! I even hate to waste time on sending it back to fix it! I decide to buy a garmin gps instead. Never buy any product from this company.

I bought it brand new and I will tell you, this thing is piece of junk. It's the equivalent of that 8 Ball toy you shake for your fortune.
Trust me, pass onto another GPS.
The pure seething aggravation you feel for this thing will outweigh the money you save. I can't even in good conscious put it for up sale, because I know the person will ask me for their money back by the next day.
The manufacture's website is total joke. With non-existent customer service. Save for another month and buy a TomTom.
It freezes and the map has issues.......2007-05-26
This gps freeze a lot. The softwares has bug. Its has a low CPU 266 mhz which mean it take more time to do things which other gps with a cpu 400+ mhz does instantly. This GPS you will have to do a lot of resetting as a normal use.

I have been using this GPS navigation unit for about 4 months now and have found it to be good for the price. The screen is large and overall the unit is accurate. I even get the signal inside my home. It gives accurate directions and is fairly loud. I had been a looking for a somewhat cheap GPS (because I am student) and I am quite happy with this purchase.
