The secure WMA-DRM compatibility, meanwhile, lets you play tracks purchased from online stores or downloaded from subscription services. And thanks to the built-in microphone and voice recording function, you can easily capture interviews, lectures, song ideas, and short voice notes whenever inspiration hits.
In addition to supporting MP3, WMA, and secure WMA formats, the US2 is compatible with OGG audio files, MSV, WMV, MPEG, and ASF video files, and JPEG and MSJ photo files. Plus, the device is Podcast Ready, meaning you can manage and receive Podcasts from any Internet-enabled PC without installing additional software or drivers (the US2 comes with a Podcast software application). And mobiBLU made it easy to transport the US2 by including optimized, earbud-style headphones that double as a necklace. Other features include SRS WOW HD (high definition) sound enhancement technology; several preset equalizer modes (normal, rock, jazz, classic, pop, live, dance, and user EQ); a built-in clock with an alarm; a USB 2.0 interface; and a dual headphone jack that lets two people listen to the US2 at the same time.

It arrived promptly and was packed well. Mounting directions were vague but if one has even modest home repair skills, their will be no problems getting mounted. Sound quality is good, but I heard an older GE model with better sound.

Does everything it is supposed to do. Installation was easy. My only complaint is that if you lose power it sometimes forgets the station presets.
I was nervous to buy a refurb because several people reported problems with the CD player, but so far (four months) so good.

I've had a GE and a Sony (CD543RM) kitchen under counter units. I've also tested a few others in stores. The Sony 543 model is superior to any other unit out their and the Sony 553 is superior to the Sony 543. The 553 is worth the extra bucks for the better sound quality and AM/FM reception.

I bought this for my Mom for Christmas and ended up giving it to her before the holidays so she could listen to Christmas music while she was in the kitchen. She loves it except the radio doesn't come in the best but we've managed to get a few stations for her. She needed some help to figure out the buttons, but over all a great system with good sound and the remote is very handy.

I have really enjoyed this radio! The cd sound quality is good and the radio reception is great! I haven't really used the weather or tv band, however the few times I have tried it the reception seems fine. A really good product for the money.

A great phone.......2008-01-01
I purchased the Panasonic KX-TG5761 about two weeks ago. Has worked very well and no reception issues, even around wireless equipment and a different set of Panasonic wireless phones in another part of the house.

Great features but poor quality.......2007-10-10
The first unit I bought was defective, with very noisy calls after two days of use. Unplugging and resetting the unit took the problem away temporarily, but after two more days of use, noisy calls again. And so on.
Returning the defective new unit to Panasonic meant I was without a phone for some time. Panasonic did not repair my phone but instead sent a replacement. After using the replacement unit for some months, now two columns of keys on the base unit are inoperative. No relief, even temporary, from resetting. Now I get to send the second, replacment unit back to Panasonic and wait again for another replacement.
Unless you have lots more patience than I do, maybe you should look for a higher quality product.

This expandable system works well right out of the box. We bought this unit plus three additional handsets (Panasonic KX-TGA570S 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange Expandable Digital Cordless Handset). Set up was easy.
The LCD screen is easy to read and is intuitive in layout. The speaking caller ID is a great feature, though the computer-generated voice sometimes comes up with some unusual pronunciations.
The real bottom line is that this is a phone and it should and does perform very well as one. The voice quality is as good as any wired phoned we have ever used.
Panasonic's Terrible Return Policy.......2007-07-04
The phone lasted 2 days when the speaker went out. I called Panasonic and they said to unplug & plug the phone back in. This works but I have to do it about every other time I use the speaker. If you return this phone you do NOT get a new phone. You get a refurbished phone. Also you have to go without the base unit until they send you another unlike a lot of companies who send you a new one with a box to return the old phone. I only buy Panasonic phones and this is the first time one has gone bad. This is a terrible return policy. If a phone breaks within 2 weeks you should get a new phone, not a phone that has been overhauled.
