exact product at an affordable price w a smooth transaction

3 out of 5 stars NOT 1.5gb really!.......2006-05-26

You can use its 1.5GB capacity only if you format it using the FAT32 format; then you can just use it as any other external hard drive but the player wont play any songs for you ... when you format it as FAT (FAT16), the player will play MP3s but then, you can only use 512MB of disk-space. So the 1.5 GB is really misleading ...

Other than that its a decent player ... not as flashy as an I-Pod but does its job ... I also did run into some weird errors with the player a ciuple of times ... once it wouldn't power down at all (so i just left it on and let the battery run dry) and another time it wouldn't stop displaying the "searching for updates" screen (used the same remedy) ...

not the best MP3 player but i guess its not so bad either.

5 out of 5 stars CHEAP AND GREAT.......2005-10-15

I bought this for about 100, great deal for a 1.5 drive based mp3 player. The only bad thing is that it is not compatible with mac at all.

The flap for the usb IS hard to take off and doesnt set right when you put it back on BUT i found out that you can just pull the whole thing off, and put it back on without a problem and it fits perfectly. The headphones SUCKED and broke the first week i got them but with my new sony's it doesnt have any problems. Awesome deal, i'd buy it again.

1 out of 5 stars BROKEN.......2005-08-17

I purchased the PD-1000 in April. It will not turn on, will not reset, it won't respond to any buttons.

4 out of 5 stars A good player for broke guys.......2005-06-30

I just purchased the perception digital's 1.5GB mp3 player. I had done a lot of research before buying it as they were offering 1.5GB for $98. I was pretty reluctant in the start. but i must say this player surpassed my expectations.

Pros: low priced, mp3 decoding is good, SNR > 90db which means a clean and clear sound, 5 band equalizer, voice recording, supports drag and drop mechanism which means we dont have to install any alien software to download files. can be used as a external HDD to store files. comes with a external power supply to charge the player quickly (it can also be charged through the USB port), it has a line-in function which i havent seen in many players, it shows the current equalizer mode, shuffle mode, battery and volume on the screen.

cons: very ordinary looking, the joystick is clumsy and it makes navigation really difficult. the head phones which come along are worthless so i had to buy new one. and its Made In China so i dont think its very durable. but other than that no serious cons.

overall i think this player does the job and is surely worth the money. I would recommend this player to anyone interested in buying a good mp3 player for a less price.

EZ Wake Digital SunRise Alarm Clock - Sea Green

Product Description

The EZ Wake Digital SunRise Clock is the least expensive, QUALITY, dawn simulator on the market today. The EZ Wake Clock gently awakens you to a simulated sunrise rather than jarring you awake with a loud noise. Waking to the EZ Wake Clock helps you start the day in a better mood and more refreshed. The clock's light slowly begins to glow 30 minutes prior to the time you are to awaken and gradually illuminates until it is time for you to arise, at which time, if you choose, the audible alarm will sound.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars I'm impressed!.......2007-07-19

I wake up at 5:30 to go to the gym and this is so much better than being shocked awake by a beeping alarm and then blinding myself when I switch the lights on. The first time I used it my eyes just popped open 2 minutes before the clock was set to beep (as back up in case the "sunrise" doesn't do the trick!). My boyfriend also woke up just as easily, and he had only been in bed since midnight. We were both really impressed. The lamp brightens our large bedroom about as much as morning sunlight through drapes.

5 out of 5 stars Dawn simulator .......2007-02-06

I bought this product to facilitate getting up on dark Michigan winter days. It is thoughtfully engineered, well constructed, and extremely easy to use. It is a pleasure to awaken gradually to a dawn that is programmable.

5 out of 5 stars Great clock!.......2006-05-02

I bought this clock to take with me on a cruise last month. I have a HORRIBLE time waking up in the dark (as in - it doesn't happen)! The amount to upgrade to a cabin with a window (just so I would know when it was morning) was about $300 per person. I decided to give this little clock a try for less than $100 and I'm glad I did! I was able to stay in an "inside" cabin, set the alarm, and easily wake up to a warmly lit room every morning. It worked like a charm and I'll definitely be using it every morning once daylight savings time is over with!

I guess you could say this clock saved me $600!!! ;)

4 out of 5 stars If only it had a memory..........2006-01-23

I've had my sunrise clock for about 3 months now and am glad I bought it. I routinely get up at 5:00, and it's always been difficult, especially in winter. I would wake up, glance at the dark, cold room, and turn back over with a moan. Now the clock brightens gradually from 4:30 to full bright at five, and I'm ready to get out of bed. Even if I sleep late on the weekend, my circadian clock knows that the lights come on at 5:00 and its easy to get up Monday morning.

I have one beef with this clock: it has no memory. Whenever there's a power blink, it's necessary not only to set the correct time, but also to re-enter ALL your settings. Flash memory or a battery backup would be a big improvement.

4 out of 5 stars Peaceful awakening.......2006-01-05

I really like this clock. Today is the first day I used it. What a peaceful way to wake up! It's almost like waking up on a Saturday morning, with the sunlight streaming into the room. Almost.

However, I do have two negative comments regarding the clock. First, it is not UL listed, so I'm concerned about safety. Secondly, the ringing alarm is supposed to be quiet. It's not.

4 out of 5 stars Reasonable, comfortable, good buy and a little complex.......2003-01-28

      Update 7/3/05:

This phone is still in use as my daily phone as of this update. It has required a replacement battery. Other than that, its been solid and held up well.

The answering machine does sound a bit dated compared to what is on the market today with the 5.8 phones.

Overall, I'm pleased and do not regret buying it!

      ...end update

Unlike the other reviewer of this phone. I have been pleased with mine. Sound quality rivals corded phones. The earpiece is comfortable and can provide long conversations with comfort. Caller ID is also easy to use on the lighted LCD. Lighted keypads are also nice.

Answering machine is reasonable also. Its not hifi or anything, but I'd put it in the top 75% in sound quality. It also takes a little bit to set up. I like the slow playback feature of the messages. I use it once in awhile on a person I know who talks really fast!

Responding to the range. Normally 3 houses either way is considered decent range. I don't know what the previous poster had for a criteria. If he wants to go a block, he's bound for many disappointments. I live in an apartment, so I don't need 300' of range. I did test the phone's range once. I'd say I got it to 1/4 of a mile (with choppiness). Anyone considering a digital phone of any frequency should keep in mind that digital is fickle when the signal gets weak or interfered with. Thats why the manufacturers say put the phone in a good central spot for optimum range. High intereference spots or bad locations just kill digital phones. Where as analog phones just get staticy, digital cuts out once it loses a viable signal. It either works, chops in and out or not at all. .

Anyhow, I've gotten away from my review of this fine phone. Only drawback I've really had is programming it. It does take some time with the manual to get it cooking. Thus the 4 stars. Once you have it set though, its a good working phone.

Another feature I bought it for - ringer high, low and off.

Well worth the buy and constructed well too.

2 out of 5 stars nice on the outside but has some odd issues.......2002-04-06

I have searched about every phone looking for a replacement to our old Lucent tech phone. My mom's requirements were for a phone w/ built-in caller id and an answering system, and the phone had to be wall-mountable (the lucent was the same). I found several phones that were good, had caller id, but lacked the answering system or were not easily wall mounted...we bought this phone.

The answering machine sound quality is acceptable. Not great, but acceptable. The mic is on the backside near the bottom. THe sound IS a significant improvement over the Lucent phone which had a very bad mic and fuzzy playback. Using the answering system is easy enough. The manual really is a necessity though, in order to program some of the options, because you have to know the number code for the option u want to set (# of rings, etc...) But it is not hard. Inputing names/numbers into the directory is easy.

The real weakness is the 2.4 ghz transmission. I did a range test with my mom at work and me on the panasonic. I walked around the house and when I had a brick wall and one room between me and the phone (30 feet about) the signal got choppy and cut out frequently. The signal only had good range when the phone was divided by less solid materials (wood/glass) and even then, I got just beyond 120 feet or so (3 houses) when the phone cut out again and i had to run about 60 feet back to re-acquire contact with my mom...The 2.4 ghz phones seem to all have problems with reception and this one is no different. Do NOT buy 2.4 ghz phones! I will now order a 900 mhz digital phone of either sony or Sanyo (highest ratings on range/clarity) or something. This phone is going back ...! Useless piece of junk

1 out of 5 stars Poor Answering Machine Sound Quality.......2002-03-20

The phone works ok but the answering machine sound quality is very poor. I returned it. It is definately not worth the money.

4 out of 5 stars Good product for the price.......2002-02-22

I've got the KX-TG2481S (same model, just silver), and have loved it! I have excellent reception in all locations, and though it takes a bit of practice to use the answering features, you CAN delete individual messages and keep the ones you want to save. I'm not sure why the previous reviewer was unable to figure it out.

I'm able to easily access my messages while I'm away from home, and have yet to have a single problem with a garbled or unintelligible message...

      1 out of 5 stars Lasted 4 months.......2002-02-11

We were tired of cheap phones with fuzzy reception, so we wanted a top-quality phone with a lot of clarity. We sure didn't get it here. First off, it's not the clarity one would expect from a 2.4 GHz phone and the answering machine's quality is even worse. The answering machine features are not very user-friendly. I would like to be able to save certain messages and delete others - but it's all or nothing. Looking up saved numbers is not user-friendly, either. Panasonic's customer service on their website leaves much to be desired - all I want to know is if the phone is still in warranty. I don't have to wait in a phone queue, then pay to ship the phone to another state....

For even better image quality, resizable split screens make it easy to expand any screen so you can take in every detail. And thanks to PC and Mac compatible live map updates, which automatically search your defined areas to see if something new is available, you'll never have to worry about out-of-date maps and information ruining your trip.

Or add map border information to printouts, including UTM or latitude/longitude grids, scale bars, north arrows, and magnetic declination.
