In addition, users have no shortage of formats from which to choose, with support for MP3, WMA, WMA-DRM, WAV, Audible, and Janus audio formats; MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, and WMV-9 video formats; and JPEG, Bitmap, TIF, GIF, and PNG photo formats. Like a pocket digital video recorder (DVR), the Lyra X3000 can record on a timer. Merely set the time and date of the program you want to capture and the device will turn itself on and record while you're absent. _Plus, you don't need to turn on the targeted video source before you leave, as the IR Blaster (which comes with the docking station) handles the task when it's time to record. One of the handiest features, however, is the bundled DivX Create software, which lets you compress your downloaded and recorded video files or improve their compatibility with just the click of your mouse.
Other details include a crisp 3.6-inch, full-color TFT display; the ability to record audio direct from a source--such as a CD player, MP3 player, or radio--in MP3 format; a composite video output for viewing high-resolution (480p) content on a TV or monitor; and a built-in speaker or listening without headphones. The Lyra X3000, which comes with a rechargeable battery that lasts for roughly 3.58 hours while watching video or 7.5 hours when listening to music, measures 5 by 3.1 by 0.8 inches (W x H x D) and carries a 90-day warranty on labor and a one-year warranty on parts.

I have an earlier model of this and I sincerely hope that it has been greatly improved upon since that one was made.
I took it to work and was shocked that the battery was low after 3 hours. So much for using it on a long flight.
The headphone jack loosened and ultimately caused the unit to take up residence in a drawer.
It was a great device for the few hours that it ran per charge, but I expect longer battery life from something like this.

Note that this is NOT an official Palm product. Perhaps other people received original Palm packaging, but I got a third-party knock off. Given that the product was advertised as "by Palm," this is incorrect.

ok for the price that i paid for it but did not hold up very well to every day wear. The end piece had broken off a month after received. It's hard to say if I would recommend this product or not. Just seemed of very poor quality.

The Palm vehicle power adapter is a great buy for about $20. The only negative thing I have to say about it is the cord length. It may be stretchy, but sometimes not long enough to use and charge at the same time. The first one I bought, the cord came out of the socket and snapped the wires. I am happy to say I have not had any problems with the second.

Well, it's really pretty...yep, that's about it........2007-11-05
Bought this phone on semi-impulse; I'd seen it in PB's catalog, and liked it, so when Toys R Us included it as a doorbuster, I picked it up. It's 2 days later, and I'm taking it back to the store. If it wasn't so pretty, it would have gone back the minute I pulled it out of the box; it's basically a big hunk of cheap plastic, and I'm almost afraid I'll break it just dialing numbers. The handset itself seems nice and sturdy; if the rest of the phone felt the same, this would be a definite keeper. But, it doesn't, so back to the store it goes. I would gladly pay double the amount for a product of quality; this phone just is not a good value.

I have an old tin sign that says "Pay Phone--5 Cents". When I saw this phone, I had to get it. Love the pink. Very long cord, which is nice. My grandkids love to put coins in and actually hear the drop into the ching-ching, before making a call.
