Here's a radio that can receive over 4000 stations from countries all over the world and it can sit on your table. The world's first radio capable of accessing over 99% of internet radio stations broadcast on-line anywhere in the world. No subscription to pay, no signal coverage problems, no pops and crackles and no international content boundaries. To use the AE WiFi Radio you will require 2 items for it to work. The first is broadband the other is wireless. Broadband (ADSL) is high speed internet access (512k, 1mb, 2mb etc) this is provided by a number of companies such as Time Warner, Earthlink, AOL, Verizon etc and works through your normal telephone line. Wireless is a way of connecting computer equipment around the house without cables. It requires a standard Wireless router (802.11b or 802.11g) to receive signals. The AE Wifi radio has its wireless technology built in and does not require a PC to work but needs to connect to the radio stations through the Wireless Router and broadband. Do not recommend.......2007-12-26
While I agree that this product seemed to work OK out of the box (although the on/off switch did not work and this was worrysome....you could turn it off by unpluging or turning the volume down), Some of the preprogrammed stations did not work, so I followed the instructions regarding updating and that was the end of the radio. I'm glad I did it within 30 days of purchase so I could return it...I certainly would not recommend this radio.

I have never had anything to do with wi fi devices until I got this---I did not even have a router. I got both in one day and had them both installed, up and running in an hour!! And I am totally green about these things.
The radio was pricey--I really really hoped I was not making a mistake getting it. Turns out that I really, really like the portable internet radio--I am not tied to my PC anymore. This little radio sounds pretty good for its small size, I was surprised at the volume. It has easy to understand controls, which is good because the manual was not the best. It readily downloaded and played hundreds of stations without a glitch. I think it is attractive, but that is in the eye of the beholder. It also seems sturdy and well made. I am trying to figure out how to get Live 365 on it, but I think I found the answer on the Reciva web site.
I am very pleased and look forward to many stations.

The AE Wifi radio works exactly as advertised. The set-up took a few minutes, and the result is immediate access to thousands of radio stations around the world. No need for any settings on your computer: all is done on the radio itself. And the controls are simple and intuitive. You can choose whether to browse by country or by genre; for example, you can choose from over 800 stations in the UK alone. Audio quality is fine - what you would expect from a radio.

This device worked perfectly right out of the box. Doing the firmware update made it even better. connecting to my wireless network was a breeze. though i wish the channels loaded faster, i also blame my internet connection for it (i am using this in Bangladesh). Some stations did not work, but there are plenty others to choose from. The in-built speaker could have been better, actually shower radio speakers do a better job. Other than that a few more preset buttons would help. Overall i am very satisfied and its a cool gadget.

OK, it's not a radio. It's really a stand-alone web browser with good speakers and and audio amp. But that's being picky.
If you have a wireless network in your home, or are within range of one at work, you can listen to Internet radio without booting up your computer. The controls are a little confusing at first, but easily learned. Once you've programmed a few stations, it's pretty much like using the presets on a normal radio.
A very neat device with lots of features. A little pricey, perhaps.

It is excellent for what it claims to be. It was inexpensive and works perfectly. It is flimsy though, light weight plastic and the ear phone piece comes off easily accidentally.
A decent item for the price.......2007-07-08
I bought this answering machine to replace my faithful old Panasonic cassette machine, which finally expired after 18 years. I found the directions easy enough to follow and the machine works well. The only only downside I've seen so far is that the handset is much too vulnerable to whooshing sounds if you make the mistake of breathing near the mouthpiece. I'm thinking of putting one of those foam covers on it that they use on microphones. Aside from that, no problems and I'd recommend it.

I've had my GE Corded phone for several months now, and it is still working fine. I was surprised to read all of the negative reviews. I'm glad that I had purchased mine before reading the reviews. I keep my pnone on my desk, and all that I can say is that everything on it works perfect.
don't buy.......2007-06-27
We bought this corded phone (model: 29897GE2-A, date code: 6538KT) after having reliability issues with cheap cordless phones. The phone works, but the digital answering system is worthless. The system had worked fine for a few months, as far as we could tell. Now when someone calls, either they get "message box full" (despite there being *no* messages) or the unit resets and they get hung up on.
We've since removed the power, reducing the unit to a regular phone.

I bought this phone, model number 29897GE2-A, you don't want to. 1) The phone just goes into a mode where the phone says the message box is full, but there are no messages in it. My friends keep having to tell me they could not leave a message because of this. 2) the phone does not have a internal battery for power drops, so every thime the power goes out all the programming is lost. 3) I have and the phone does not get the time from the phone line, It just blinks 12:00. This items gets 1 star because there isn't a zero star option.
