Digital cable splitter.......2007-12-21

I needed a quality splitter for my digital cable and i couldn't find anything of quality at the local shack.
Anyway i found this splitter on Amazon and it does the job great.
Picture quality on the outputs of the splitter is great.
I'd recommend this.

Make no different with the two Dollars Splitter.......2007-08-16

I bought this one at Amazon Market place ( The Splitter was Made in Taiwan )to replaced my old cheap Splitter out side the house's TV Cable Box. The TVs picture quality look the same and cable internet speed doesn't get any faster. The worse is my internet was cut off when the TV is turn on with this fancy Splitter. I had to switch back my old two Dollars Splitter. Wasted times and Money. May be those lucky guys have good result with this Monster Splitter was Made in USA.

Works Great!.......2007-08-02

I had a cheapo splitter that split my cable internet, and 2 TVs and my signal strength dropped dramatically! Once I recieved this one and installed it, it virtually corrected all the distortion on my TVs and boosted my cable internet. Good PRODUCT!

What could you expect?.......2007-07-02

The point many people need to understand when purchasing a splitter is that spitters split you signal. Every split that occurs reduces the quality of that signal. Buying a better 2 GHz splitter such as this one may reduce the loss of signal quality, but do not expect miracles, after all, you are still splitting a signal without adding any power yourself.

The splitter probably will not improve quality in the following conditions:

1) You replace a splitter with a better one, but your tvs already have the best quality they can with the split they have.
2) You replace a splitter with a better one, but the tvs require a rather low signal anyway, so any split would go unnoticed.
3) The signal arriving at your house or apartment is already weak, in which case the splitter would not do any good.
4) You are adding a splitter to a system that does not have one.

In these conditions, you may see the best improvement:

1) Have a high signal demanding system, such as digital cable, tivo, and hdtvs.
2) Have your cable split to the limit, very low quality video when normally splitting.
3) Have an internet line, one of the best parts of this splitter is for internet usage/tv splitting, may see an increase in speed of internet.

Given these criteria in mind, I had a good experience with this device. I moved into a new apartment, which had relatively bad signal. I wanted to split it three ways, into my computer tv tuner, my digital cable box + tv, and a tv in my bedroom. I purchased this teamed with an 18 db signal amplifier (what actually does add power to a system). The signal clarity improvement was minimal, which I believe is because my apartment building does not have a very good signal before it even reaches me. However, before adding these devices, I could not plug into my computer without completely losing my signal to the point i could not watch it. This was of course with a cheaper cable company provided splitter. After replacing the splitter and adding the amp, I could set my computer up, and have all three devices on and using the cable without seeing a single drop of signal degradation.

Think what you will, but I say this device is a noticeable improvement. It all depends what you think a signal improvement is worth and taking the chance that you will meet the criteria for the signal improvement. There is no for sure way to predict if a better splitter will improve your video quality. You just have to try it and find out.

I saw no real improvement..........2007-05-16

I installed a Monster 3-way and 2-way splitter to replace my old "cheapo" splitters I currently had. I hoped for the best but I really saw no improvement over the old ones. One caveat: I am using a 1990's tv with no HD. It may make a difference for those higher quality tv's and those with HD but for me it made no visable difference.

Very nice phones.......2008-01-01

I purchased these phones for my parents for Christmas, fearing all the functions would be hard for them to use, or to figure out. Glad to say they took to the new phone system with little frustration. They really enjoy the talking caller ID, as their first request from a phone is clear and readable caller ID, having it spoken is a great feature. Another great feature is you do not have to program each phone with your phone book entries, simply do one, then send them to the other 2 by pushing a single button, very nice. Overall these phones are terrific and will provide my parents with trouble free, crystal clear phone messaging for years to come.

Could be better.......2007-12-17

I bought this phone to replace my Uniden phone. So my comments are based on my comparison of my Uniden and this phone.
PROS:
1. Long battery life - I have never gotten the "low battery" signal on the handset after talking on the phone for several hours like I constantly got with the Uniden.
2. Mute and redial buttons on the base. On my Uniden model those buttons were hidden in the menus of the base and handset.
3. Clear sounding. I've gotten complaints of static on the Uniden model. I've never had that with this phone.
CONS:
1. No address book display in the base, only in the handset. This is important because if I want to use the speaker phone in the base, I have to either dial the number from my memory (which makes me have to memorize numbers like the old days) or lift the handset and find the number in the address book display the dial it and wait for a connection before I can put the handset back on the base to tallk through the speaker phone from the base. This is a design flaw if you ask me. I wouldn't have bought the phone had I known this before. The Uniden phone had it right. They had an address book display in the base of the unit so you could make a call on the speaker phone from the base by looking up a number in the address book display and press the speakerphone button without picking up the handset.
2. If someone calls while I'm on a call I will get a call waiting signal but I won't get the caller id name in the handset display. The handset will display the words "Missed call". I won't see who called until after the call when I look at the caller id list. This is another very important feature that Uniden got right but Panasonic seemed to miss the target on.

Other than those 2 very important things the phone works ok. However I would not have purchased this phone had I known of the limitation that I have described.

excellent system.......2007-10-21

This is a great system. The color screens are vibrant and easy to read. The sound quality is excellent. Set-up was relatively easy, but it did require one call to technical support (which was responsive and able to resolve my issue quickly). The batteries required every bit of 7 hours to charge upon setup, and the indicators were slow to respond to the charging process. However, after 7 hours the indicators showed that the batteries were fully charged. The phones permit download of your own songs and pictures to indicate specific ringers and pictures. The setup for the latter was quick and easy. Obviously, a great deal of thought and planning went into the production of this model. Overall, great set !

I am very happy with this phone, excellent sound quality, great range, a lot of features, Mp3 ringtones, color LCD with excellet picture quality. I highly recommend this unit and Globazar was very fast delivering the product.
