MP3 player cuts out fairly often.......2007-12-05
I'm returning this item. If the mp3 player gets bumped slightly, it shuts off... this is fairly bad news if you plan to jog with it.
Good Basic MP3.......2007-07-16
This is a good basic MP3 player. Don't expect more than it can deliver. If all you want is to store music or podcasts and play them back (no screen to see titles), then this is a good product for you. It satisfies all my needs as I primarily use it to listen to podcasts, so I don't have a lot of titles on the player.

Great Buy With Little Not To Like.......2007-05-08
This is a great product for the price. It looks great on your nightstand or dresser and is made of high quality plastics. The display is clear and easy to read with highly adjustable brightness. The functionality is great with very ease of use. The are multiple dimpled buttons to easily find the funtion you want in the dark. 10 available FM presets are great and CD playback is nice, more so since it plays CD/RW's. Sound range is great from very quiet to loud and wake up feature is very customizable. You can even pick the track you want to wake up to. Every feature you need is there in a great looking compact package.
Only one minor compliaint with this product is that LCD display, although very clear and crisp, is a bit bright but no reason to prevent purchase.
liked it, but had draw backs.......2007-01-21
I bought the unit last summer (Jun, I think) is now Jan, on the advise of a friend. Liked the unit, it was small and compact and had good sound, fairly easy to use. The alarm starts off low and gradually gets louder instead of jarring you out of bed like an irrate drill instructer.
Now lets discuss what I did not like about the unit. If you prefer a really dark room for sleeping, this is definatly not the clock for you, unless you want to cover the display. Even set on low it was like having a really bright night light glaring back at you, didn't bother my husband at all, of course neither would a 6.5 earthquake. The power cord was also a problem, after only about 5 months i had to take the unit in and have the cord repaired because it split right below the plug (which is large and heavy). After getting the unit back, now the alarm will only set for CD, after getting online with customer support, they determined that I need to send it in for repair, which will cost me about $90.00. or I can do an exchange for around $52.00. This does not include the cost of mailing the unit back. Then of course I can just purchase a new one for around $75.00 from Sony.
I would purchase the unit again, but this time with an extended warranty and a new box of red or green clear plastic wrap to block out most of the light.

Non-intuitive menus and kinda weak reception.......2007-07-26
We've owned this phone for about a year. The intercom is convenient and easy to use. Takes a bit of study and practice to use the menu system to review messages, check calls, etc. Not intuitive. Reception inside 3-story house is very good, but outside (through 1 brick wall and about 100 feet away from base station) is terrible.

Ordered this unit because the technical description says it is a 3-line phone. Opened it up and there is only a single port on the bas unit for the phone line. Amazon needs to get their info straight.

I purchase this system some months ago. I wanted it because I wanted to change phone systems from Verizon to Vonage, that's another story in itself. Anyway, I am still with Verizon and have had no problems. I think the main reason I purchase this system was the name brand. Second was the 4 phones vs the 3 phones. I also love the speaker system that all the phones have. My wife especially loves this for she has one person that continually talks and she can set the phone down and listen and go about doing what she needs to do. Oh yeah, not having a phone jack to each of the phones is also great. Just plug each phone in a socket and you are ready to go!!!!! Great product.
Great Phone.......2006-11-10
We love the phones and answering machine. We particularly like the ability to page the other phones and transfer calls between phones. This comes in handy when the person who answers the phone is on a different floor of the house. We are experiencing no difficulty with interference with our wireless computer system. Once in a while we do get some interference on the phone, but it does not last long.
