Works great - for a short time! .......2007-11-12
This is a fantastic concept, and our daughter loves it, when it works.
The first Mix Max had problems after 3 weeks - screen froze and the clock stopped at 5:33am. I was able to return it for an even exchange.
Second Mix Max worked for 2 1/2 months, then it started having inermittent blank screens, the Disney card movies would not play ("file not supported" messages appeared) and the time locked at 5:33am. The center > play button is not working properly - when pressed it does not always play until you find a "sweet spot" that it accepts.
Daughter loved it so much that against better judgement we bought a third Mix Max. The 5:33 "feature" is still there. When you reset the time it appears correctly, but the first time you cycle the power - you are back to 5:33. After 3 1/2 months the intermittent blank screens started. 3 sides of the "mickey ears" used for navigation stopped working after about 4 months (when we were 1 hour in to a 7 hour airline flight - UGH), so now our daughter can only get music or a movie by reinserting a card and IF the autoplay decides to work. Really disappointing since this was our third Mix Max and we bought the Jam Stand, case, travel charger and all the movie/music cards with purchase #1.
We tried calling repeatedly for support for the issues with all 3 - were told each time that they "looking into" the problems, but have no fix and because we were outside the 90 days from initial purchase were out of luck as far as a replacement or exchange.
Great idea, cool features - if you get one that lasts longer than 90 days. Lesson learned, next time we will spend a more for a stable player from a company that supports their products.
The positive reviews must be from new owners. Would be interesting to see the percentage of Mix Maxes that are functioning properly after 6 months of use.

This is a great product. Easy to download, easy for my daughter who just turned 8 and is in 2nd grade. The best thing I ever did. I control what she listens to and I don't have to share the CD player with her anymore.

I researched this product on amazon, most reviews were bad, so I was skeptical of getting it. I'm 13 and a huge fan of Hannah Montana and my friend also had a mix max but it was a Tinkerbell model. She had no problems with hers so I decided to give it a try. It works perfectly! No glitches or anything! I love it! All my music, pictures and videos work fantastically!
I bought the SD card for extra storage, and it works fine. It says to only use a 2 GB card, at maximum. People also complained about the clock going back to 5, I've never had any problem like that! I would for sure recommend this product!

This product is absolutely terrible, I have had the same experience with other Disney Technology related items. I love Disney World, movies, and tangible products; but anything related to technology that I have purchased, by Disney, is absolutely horrible. Now I have been burned again. Do yourself a favor and buy your child an IPOD it will save you a lot of grief. If you have a MAC by all means forget it and even on Windows it is a very counter-intuitive and difficult and this comes from someone who has buit PC's and set-up LANs. I have had similar disappointment with Disney's games for Macs. If your child likes Hanna Montana as our whole family does, do yourself a favor, buy all Hanna's media and put it on an IPOD so you kid can actually enjoy it.

I bought this after reading the positive reviews that I saw here, expecting to experience a dramatic improvement in reception over my shabby OLD rabbit ears. I was disappointed because this Terk didn't provide any improvement over what I had been using. I can't receive any stations clearly. Not even one - VHF or UHF! Even though this thing is right next to a 2nd-floor window and probably less than 15 miles from the transmitter. The power amplifier on this thing is a joke - it's nearly worthless. I have no idea how others are pulling in numerous hi-def stations as they claim to be.

Got a new HD TV? It has been said that 95% of americans can get five HD stations (unless you live in the mountains of Idaho, maybe). I get fifteen near Boston. So, this will help you out, but only if the transmitting antenna is within 20 to 30 miles (30 Km or so for you non-northamericans). A rabbit ears and the UHF loop will always help indoor reception. However, the built-in amplifier is a little on the anemic side, but it helps.
The good thing is that this doesn't cost much; if you don't think it is muscular enough, at least you haven't spent up towards $100 on it. HD TV at 720p and especially at 1080i is impressive! My favorite watching is golf games on the pro circuit - you feel you are there! You can literally see individual blades of grass!
So, this will give you a taste of what is possible. The sad truth of indoor TV antennas is that they don't transform lead into gold. You need a substantial outdoor, high antenna pointed in the right direction to get the gold standard in over the air reception.
If you didn't grow up in the heyday of TV, you may need to face the learning curve of jumping up occasionally to change the position or length of the antenna elements or strength of the amplification. It's so fifties! Enjoy!
ADDENDA:
I just got a somewhat more capable amplified indoor HDTV antenna from of all places, Radio Shack - their model 15-1892, which is a futuristic black disk with an internally rotatable antenna on a base with a 22db amplifier (which is a lot of amplification - on the order of 100 to 1000 times better than a plain rabbit ears) and a LED display and a few buttons. It has pulled in more HDTV stations than any other indoor antenna I have tried so far. It cost about $50 and is worth it, in my opinion.
I'm currently using these rabbit ears for my FM radio and it does a fine job - better with the rf amplifier turned off, actually. figure that

I made this puchase one month ago and love the product. It is easy to hook up and works well. I also might add that the quality of this product is nice. I would recommend it to anybody. Sure beats paying a cable bill! I am able to pick up about 10 or more channels with it.

This antenna is awesome. Our cable company dropped one of our local stations, so I started putting antennas on tvs that I might want to watch that station on. I could not find an antenna that would work well on my living room tv. I read reviews, and decided to buy the Terk. Incredible. One thing I really like on this particular model, is the built-in video switch on the back of the unit. I can hook my cable into the antenna, and easily switch from cable to air. If I ever need another antenna, I'll buy nothing but Terk!

I searched around for a while before buying this clock. It "talks" to you when you get a call, letting you know who is phoning you. The display brightness is adjustable, as well as the readout. I especially like how you can set the alarm for weekends, weekdays, or 7 days a week. That comes in handy for me. I have one alarm set for 6 am on weekdays, and 7 am on weekends when I can sleep in a little longer. The handset has a button you can push to make the other person's voice louder. The display is easy to read. The radio works well. The only thing I would change about this phone is that there are only three nature sounds, and they aren't realistic. It's impossible to read the display when you are standing above the radio at an angle, but that is no big deal. The phone looked complicated to use at first, but after reading the instructions thoroughly and using it for a while, I can use it with the lights off. I got mine in silver, but I think I would have preferred the other color (white, I think).

I used to use Navman ICN 630 & this is an improved version in the sense that this has all maps etc but same interface. Navman is Good but i think Garmin c330 is much better & $300 cheaper.
I got rid of my ICN 630 & am using C330. I am very pleased that i did. See my review of c330 as well. It wins handsdown over any other GPS for automotive purposes.
