We recently took a driving trip from Chicago to Key West making numerous stops in between, including metro Atlanta. I was able to load a significant number of maps onto the memory cartridge, covering almost all of the locations we traveled between Illinois and Florida. We were able to accurately navigate all of the major cities we visited which included Orlando, Daytona, Miami, Naples and Tampa, and never felt lost. More importantly, I never had to reload additional maps after the intital download which did take some time. However, whatever time it took to put the maps onto the cartridge in the first place was certainly made up for by the convenience of having them ALL there when we needed them!

I have had an eMap for about 4 years now. I purchased this product to replace the too small 8 MB card which could only hold a few maps, and use my eMap as a backup GPS. The 128 MB card can hold a decent amount of data. I estimate that it can store maps for all of Ohio, Michigan, WV and part of PA (while a 1 GB SD card can hold data for half of the US).
It would take 8 to 10 hours to flash this card using a serial connection while it takes the USB programmer less than 10 minutes. In other words, without the USB programmer you will just about kill a set of AA batteries loading 128 MB of maps on the card, so take this into consideration.

Acoustic research makes some fine cables and this is another good example. My dvd-audio disc and movies sound awesome when run through this cable. I totally recommend this cable unless you plan to run it over 10 ft. In that case look to buy a optical digital cable instead as from what I've read, audiophiles recommend optical for longer runs. Shorter runs seem to be identical between digital coax, and digital optical.

installed it in my home theater system, I didn't see any distinction between this cable and a regular rca cable, but I am not an audioholic anyways...for the price, you cant go wrong

I wanted a digital cable to connect my dvd player (inexpensive, but decent) to my receiver. Although I could have used an optical digital cable, since my receiver has 2 optical inputs and the dvd player comes with both optical and coax audio outs, I decided to get the coax, since it is sturdier than the optical cables. The sound seems crisp and clear to me, and I have had no problems with any interference with the TV picture, which one reviewer insists must happen any time anyone uses this cable to hook up their dvd player--I'm sorry he has had problems with his set up, but I have had none, and, contrary to his assertion in his review that no one who reviews this cable positively could ever have used it, I have used no other cable with my dvd player and have encountered no problems. (Did he possibly try to use it to connect his DVD player to the video-in of his TV?)

First off, the cable is 6 feet long. For some reason this isn't in the product description, so there it is. Anyway, having said that, I can say with 100% certainty that this cable is every bit as good as my much, MUCH more expensive Monster Toslink cable. I got this cable to replace the optical one because I'm switching soundcards on my computer and the new one doesn't have optical output. Anyway, I tested them side by side and I couldn't tell a difference. I'm already using Monster speaker cable which does make a HUGE difference over the junky cable that came with my Logitech Z-680's. Anyway, I could tell no difference whatsoever switching between the two. The only real difference is the price. I paid more than ten times as much for the Monster Toslink cable. So, if you're debating whether to go with this or something more expensive my reccomendation is to go with this cable. It'll save you a lot of money and you'll get the exact same performance.
As others have said, the reason that the cheaper cable is able to match the more expensive cable is the digital signal. Either the cable works or it doesn't work. There really isn't much (if any) "middle ground" as there is with analog cables. At first I was skeptical after reading all the hype about the better speaker cables, but now after having used both I know that that's just what it is: hype.

Excellent Basic Cordless Phone and Answering Machine.......2007-10-30
Some reviewers have complained about static and poor range on this phone system and its other variations (3 and 4 handset models). All I can say is that we have been VERY pleased with this unit. We have a 1900+ square foot home and we can walk throughout the entire house (and yard!) without any static, range, or volume problems at all.
Is the phone perfect? No. It's lacking some of the higher end features of more expensive models, but based on its reasonable price one shouldn't really expect it to come with power windows and a sunroof. Of note, it is missing a couple "basic" features, like a headset port and a belt clip. But if you can live without those, I can easily recommend this one.
Terrible Range.......2007-10-28
We wanted to upgrade our 90's cordless phone and went with this Uniden TRU9280-2 5.8GHz FHSS System. I can not tell you how terrible the range is and we have tried three different locations. Maybe 30 feet.
And the instruction manual is worthless. Interstingly, they are very vague about range and never tell you how far it should be. And they have a million excuses as to what could be affecting it.
So, we can not even use it in half our house. And the old phone worked fine range wise. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Wow, this was a Christmas gift that really surprised my husband. He absolutely loves it! The mounting for the motorcycle was easy to mount. This will surely help us out when we are traveling...did I mention it can be mounted in a car as well. We are very excited that we won't have to pull over to read a map anymore.

Extremely dissatisfied with this unit. In my opinion the unit is junk. Turning the unit on/off is very difficult, a great deal of pressure has to be exerted. The street directions are turn left/right, no street names.
Documents are difficult at best. Talking to the manufactur was a waist of time. Totally indifferent with my concerns with there product. Having paid almost $600.00, I expected a lot more than what I got. I would not recomment this product to anyone!
