I love it. It is easy to use. In addition to playing music I also store some backup files on it. I use it just like you would a memory stick.

This product is bad overall. The menu navigation is slow and the headphone jack is in the way of the record and menu buttons. Mine STOPPED WORKING AFTER ABOUT 20 DAYS which was 5 days to late to get my money back. My friend also bought an RCA product and it broke too. When it RARELY turns on the songs DO NOT play right and skip every second. It will turn off seemingly at random and now the computer says it is a currpted file and cannot even be used for storage (it use to work on my computer). HORRIBLE PRODUCT!

I agree with the other reviews...this is the first music device we've purchased and it's really easy to use and upload music. We bought it for my 9 year old daughter because she kept destroying her CD's! I was afraid she'd have a hard time figuring out the menus, but true to tradition...electronics are always easier for those young brains. She has no problem chosing her songs, repeating and shutting down. Now she gives me her CD's and I upload them to the MP3 and guard the originals. I too would like to find some sort of case for it as I'm sure she's going to drop it and break it. I love the AAA battery, we buy NiMH rechargables and it lasts her about a week. Overall, it's a great buy!

Stopped Working in a month.......2007-09-06
I loved this for the month it worked. Then it wouldn't boot up past the PEARL screen. Now I just have a $40.00 Flash storage device, because it will still allow storage on it.

I've tried a lot of MP3 players. This is much better than the rest.
The RCA Pearl is super easy to use. It can make 96kb MP3, or even 48kb WMA (and everything larger too), sound like CD quality. Now, that's a winner! It has a replacable AAA battery so you're never out of action to wait on a recharge. Its fully compatible with the common recharable battery kits, so you can have the best of both worlds. Internal sound technology is similar to Creative X-fi, but this RCA product is easier to use, sounds better, lower priced, and more durable. With that technology, of course it can play back highly compressed files with fantastic quality. So, you can fit one heck of a lot of songs on here. For great music, this is just the thing.
For extra fun,
There's a simple cord available at Radio Shack that hooks this up to your home stereo. Aha! No more need to mess with a bunch of CDs. I love this little thing.
Caveat? No caveat, considering its price range. The headphones that come with it are clear and reasonable; however, the Pearl is capable of pro quality sound if you use headphones of that caliber. Don't let that bother you. This is ready to use on the very minute you free it from the box, and it sounds wonderful.

This phone is very well made - wonderful reception, easy to use, great feel and lightweight. The ring tones are great! Having so many options of wildlife (that sound good and are a nice change from a blaring ring) is great - a welcome addition to our home. There's also the option for a regular ring tone, and if the handset is separate from the base when the phone rings - the base still rings wildlife sounds.

Well, if you have a hunter in your house...liven things up for him or her. Don't tell them you bought this, cut the ringer to "Elk" or "Bear" and have someone call about 3 AM...have your camcorder ready!!! This phone is great! My kids love the different "animal" rings and it does create a little variety in daily incoming phone calls. Although, it's hard to adjust to knowing when you hear the "Turkey" it means you need to answer the phone. Great conversation piece. Only the base makes sounds...not the handset. The handset will only ring....when off the base. When on the base....you get "ducks, coyotes, geese, owls, cougars, etc." (Base makes sounds even when handset is somewhere else) Or you can set it to a normal ring. Enjoy! Perfect for b-days and x-mas!
