The only way to go!.......2007-10-24

This product worked perfectly for the job--I had to migrate my old settings, documents and other "stuff" from my old mac to my new one. Once I connected the cord, the computers did the rest. My only complaint is that the cord is rather short--only 18" long--a longer one would have been a little more convenient. Having said this, though, the FireWire cable is a great purchase for those who need to transfer data between Macs.

Don't get this one.......2007-04-26

Having had good luck with Panasonic I bought this one.

The answering machine works MOST of the time. Which is not really enough.

The sound quality is awful. You can barely hear people. I bought this for my office and my receptionist ended up turning on the speaker phone to get the sound loud enough.

After thorough research, I plan to replace this with the ATT EP5995 5.8GHz Expandable Cordless. It has been reviewed very well.

A Good Solid Performer.......2007-04-28

This is my 3rd set of GE cordless phones. I think the lifetime expectancy of this product is 2 years, more or less. One base unit made it to 11 months and died. I had the phone set in a condo in Mexico, and by the time I got the set back to the US, GE refused to repair the unit, because I was about 2 weeks beyond the 1 year warranty. GE would not even repair the unit at my cost. So, that is a caviat, but I think it applies to many of today's cordless phones. While the phones work, they work well and have a good range. Pay attention to the fact that the maximum number of add-on phones is 4--and that includes the 1 on the base unit. I tried to add a 4th phone, which GE counts as #5, and it will not "register" with the base unit. So, I have a $45 phone that is useless. Still, I rate this system as 5 stars, because the sound quality is excellent.
