Nice & Simple.......2007-12-05
For what it is..it's great. It's about the simplest player you can find.
I love the fact that all you have to do is drag & drop your files in the Coby...nothing to install. Plays fine & sounds fine. It's not an iPod, but you already know that. It would have been nice if it had some kind of carrying case..for the player & accessories. I went hunting & found my old beeper strap & attached it to my Coby pretty much right away..I mean it's only plastic & doesn't grip all that tight. So, if I were you I'd put some kind of strap on it or maybe attach some rubber to the inside of the clip to help it grip better.
Over all..it's nice & worth the money.
Nice simple player...but.......2007-11-12
It is a nice sounding MP3 player. Even my 4 year old grand daughter can operate it, which is why I bought it for my wife. She gets lost in all the menu choices of other players.
However, problems....
1. Random function may work on the 1G models, but on the 2G model here
the random OFTEN plays songs over again. (Maybe a larger seed value
Coby)
2. The main ON-OFF-PLAY button sticks and requires many attempts to get
the unit on or off.
3. I find it hard to believe the 2.5mm headphones were required. The
standard 3.5mm looks like it would fit the tiny case. The 2.5-3.5
adapter is in the package, just something else to get lost.
Over all, nice product. I would buy another, which I did for my grand-
daughter. 1G model- Hot (Princess) Pink.

If you want to get frustrated everytime you place a call..........2006-09-12
This phone worked well for a while, then suddenly, the buttons became impossible to push and dial! I can't tell you how frustrating it is trying to dial a phone number pressing and repressing a digit until it finally registers. Also, there must be a ghost that comes along with the phone; several times a week a caller on the other end says, 'I can't hear you, but someone else'? Why does this happen? Well, this system automatically scans for the best channels during calls, therefore you can momentarily be in on a neighbor's conversation. All the company has advised me to do is maintain a safe distance (50 ft radius) of the base! Why bother having a cordless phone? Now, after we've loaded our house with this idiotic phone system we have to go back and spend a bundle re-outfitting! Next time, I'll be sure to check with the opinions of other customers and not buy a "Costco special". ARGHHH!!!!
Great Phone system.......2003-04-14
My son gave my daughter and me this four line V-Tech system. It is great. You can carry one phone around with you while the others are on the bases so you don't have to run to the phone when it rings. We had a cordless phone, but these phones are small. If you misplace one, you can call it and find it by its chirping. Also, if I need to reach my daughter, I can call her through this system. You can store phone numbers, redial, look to see whom you called. It has so many features that I don't think we found them all. This was the best gift I have received!

I bought this as a present for my wife, and then had second thoughts after reading the prior review, so before taking it back to OD for a refund, I decided to try it out. It is extremely easy to use. just put the destination address in using the touch screen, and navigate. It came to life quickly for me, and worked well. It gives voice warnings for turns ahead of time, and again just before the turn. You don't have to be under 30, or a geek, to use it. My wife is getting this one for Christmas.
Sluggish GPS reception.......2007-10-16
Just bought one due to excellent advertised price and features (MP3, video, and eBook). But this unit fails to deliver what matters the most - quick and reliable reception of GPS satellite signals. In three different tries in suburban No. Virginia, the unit managed to acquire satellite after 25 minutes, 7 minutes, and 5 minutes. If you don't mind the initial loooooong wait for the unit to acquire satellite signal, then this unit is not all that bad. I returned mine to the store since I don't have the patience.
