Very poor performance.......2007-08-27

The radio signal is very weak. Can't make it to work correctly even closer than 1m. I've tried with a portable small radio and with my car's receiver with unusable results in both situation.

Horrible.......2007-08-13

Really bad reception to my radio and very cheaply made. The cord was pulling away from the wires inside it... you could even then see the metal wire inside that.. if that makes sense... I'm too lazy to paint a better picture. All in all, completely unusable for me. I'm going to have to invest in a radio with an aux input. That's just the only way to go.

I'm assuming I just got one of the bad ones construction wise. And I'm sure the reception has to do with many factors. My antenna for one is not that great in the car. That's the only reason why I'm giving it two stars instead of one. It worked if I held the thing out the window next my antenna.. Otherwise it's crap (for me)..

The product was as described. I ordered two where buyers typically only order one. He only shipped one, but when I brought it to his attention he quickly sent another one. No problem just make sure if you order two of a product that you denote it in the instructions.

This phone works great, I bought it for my dorm room because I didn't need caller id(not available in the dorm) or an answering machine (we have voice mail), plus it was CHEAP! It works anywhere in the 4 story, 200 room dorm building. I love it!

Does this phone have bells and whistles? Of course not its a $10 cordless phone.

Does it work, yes!

It works better than the 2.4 Gig phone I purchased to replace it when the battery started to get weak.

I still use it at work, where it sits on the charger all day, so battery life isn't an issue.

v9118 bad phone.......2003-12-12

I had the v9110 first and this is the phone vtech replaced it with. It is the worst cordless phone I have ever owned. They are replacing it agian with another model, but they don't give you replacedments for the quality of the one you purchase originally.
The 9118 has bad sound quality, 1/2 hour talk battery life and doesn't pick up right away when you answer the phone. My opinion is the phone sucks!

I bought one with $15 rebate, sounds like a good deal. But the first one didn't work at all. I went back to the store and replaced with another one. This time it works, but the sound quality is pretty bad. I can still hear the other party, but the sound was very much distorted.
