Great Sound Quality at an Affordable Price.......2007-09-26

The best feature of this unit is that the sound is rich and deep. Not the tinny sound typically associated with a clock radio. Plus, the bass and treble are individually adjustable (via remote control). The remote control is solid, heaviest one I've ever handled. It includes a sleep/snooze button, display dimmer, and all the typical radio/CD player controls. Only negative with the remote is that it doesn't glow or light up. Fortunately, the snooze button and volume controls are in the corners, making their locations easy to remember.

There is a headphone jack in the rear, auxilliary input on the front.

When the unit off, there is only one brightness setting for the display. However, the display is easily readable during daylight, and it does not light up a dark room (nor would I even consider it a sufficient night light, it's that subtle). Perfect. When the unit is on, the display brightens up a bit, which can be dimmed via the remote control. By the way, the lighted portion of the display is actually blue, not green as it appears in the picture here.

Another welcome aspect of this unit's performance is that you can't hear the CD player spinning about when the volume is set very low. Everyone who falls asleep to CDs knows how annoying a noisy player can be.

While technically there is no battery back-up, the unit retains clock/alarm/tuner settings if power is out for no more than 30 minutes. In my experience most power outages last less than 30 minutes, so this is acceptable to me. Others may not find this enough for their needs.

CONS: AM antenna is internal, therefore the manual advises to rotate the unit to improve reception. Obviously this is unrealistic. My unit is oriented such that AM reception was very poor. Fortunately mine won't be used to listen to AM. As such I didn't rotate it to determine how good AM reception could be.

JURY IS STILL OUT:
FM antenna is a wire that can be moved about to optimize reception. I do not have sufficient experience thus far listening to FM to assess this.

I paid $100 for this at Target and am definitely pleased with my purchase. If you are looking for an alarm clock that plays CDs, then you cannot go wrong with this one which delivers wonderful sound quality.

Great Sound but NO Battery Backup!.......2007-08-02

This could have easily been a five star unit if the manufacturer would have added a simple battery back-up feature. What good is an alarm clock if it looses it's settings in the middle of the night? (experience talking......)
I'm simply amazed at the number of companies (including Sony) who obviously don't think this is a necessity. Sound is very good and the CD seems to be very well thought out. FM tuner is also very nice.

GE cordless phone.......2007-03-26

I do not like this phone at all. It has alot of static when I walk away from the base to another room. And it disconnects if I walk to far away. It's a piece of junk.

The GP-7000/NT is a GPS/WAAS plotter designed for a variety of vessels desiring video plotting capabilities. With the GP-7000 series, you can see the highly accurate position of your boat on the chart. The GP-7000 series has four display modes: Course Plot, Nav Data, Steering, and Highway modes. The course plot mode is useful for obtaining general information about surrounding sea areas. The Nav data mode clearly shows important navigational information with large text, which is easy to see even from a distance.
