Amazon.com Product Description
The KX-TG2356S is a 2.4 GHz phone system that comes with a number of useful extras, including an integrated answering machine and talking caller ID. By utilizing the 2.4 GHz frequency and digital frequency-hoping spread spectrum technology, the KX-TG2356S is able to offer clearer reception at greater distances than traditional analog or even many digital phones. Plus, Panasonic's Voice Enhancer technology helps to reproduce more frequencies in the range of the human voice than other phones, resulting in more intelligible speech.
The caller ID has a 30-number internal memory and audibly announces the name or number of the incoming caller. An additional 30-number internal phone directory allows you to store your most frequently used phone numbers, while a display-and-dial feature lets you scroll through either the directory or caller ID and call with the touch of a button.
The all-digital answering machine features a new-call indicator, so you know when you have new messages waiting, and an illuminated keypad makes dialing easy, even in the dark. Headset compatible, the KX-TG2356S has a speakerphone on both the base and handset, allowing you to communicate hands-free. It also comes with a belt clip and is wall-mountable, keeping your countertop clear from extra clutter.

Great phone.......2006-09-27
This phone has every feature I was seeking - cordless, speakerphone in both base and handset, digital answering machine and "talking I.D. The quality overall is very good - sound, range, ergonomics. I bought this phone at a discount as a "repackage' and it looks and works like new. The talking I.D. is a great innovation. Although numerous calls come in where no name is available, the telemarketers all come in as "Call from out of area" so we no longer have to bother with them, which by itself is a gigantic plus. The occassional absence of names and/or numbers for calls from "legitimate" callers is not the fault of the phone but of the non-standardized practices of the different phone companies. They need to get their act together. The only drawback is that the "talker" sometimes mangles the pronunciation of certain names. However, even here, once you hear the "mangled" pronunciation a few times, you can identify the caller. The next big advance will come when this phone design is upgraded to allow YOU to record, in your voice, the names with the numbers of your most regular callers. All in all, this is the best phone I have ever owned.
Above average cordless with answering machine.......2006-04-30
We checked out several cordless phones and this Panasonic model seemed to be one of the better ones with somewhat above average sound quality. Although it's not nearly as good sound quality as the old style Bell corded phones that no longer exist.
This model has a lot of features and the instruction manual is quite lengthy; in some ways it's a little too complicated for a telephone. If you happen to choose one of the "wrong" options, you wind up having to push a small button to answer the thing when you pick it up off the console instead of just picking up a ringing headset and hearing something with no buttons to push.
Overall this phone not bad considering the price and it does include a decent answering machine.
it was supposed to be new.......2006-03-26
The phone works well but I bought a new phone and I think I received one used as it had five messages for someone named jerry and the phone had some marks on it. As I sent it to a friend who was on US and he brought it to me to Argentina I could not change it for a new one.
A great Phone!.......2006-03-15
We use this phone as our main phone. It has great reception. I love the talking caller ID. It is user friendly with many good features.
Great Phone.......2005-12-21
This is an excellent and full-featured cordless telephone and answering machine. It has many handy features and a digital answering machine that works very well. The sound quality is good, though I think that the handset could be a little bit more ergonomic for listening, but that's a minor flaw. What I like best is having a speaker phone both in the base and in the handset, extremely handy if you are waiting on hold and need to move away from the base phone.
I've been buying Panasonic products for years and have never been disappointed in either their features or their quality, and this phone is no exception to their excellent standards.

The stylish and venerable Sony ICF-C112 is a simple, yet effective FM/AM clock radio. The green LED numerals are nearly an inch high, providing easy recognition, even from across the bed and with fuzzy eyes. The alarm volume control provides an option when it comes to alarm volume; set it to either high or low, depending on your aversion to loud wake-up noises. To reassure you of alarm activation, Sony has put an alarm indicator on the display; no longer will you wonder if you have indeed set and turned-on the alarm. If your area is prone to power outages, you will enjoy the full power back-up feature. The back-up required 9V battery will keep your clock and alarm functions operational should a power outage occur. The thumbwheel AM/FM tuner gives you options for either musical or talk-radio reception. The popular snooze alarm, a standard on all the best clock radios, comes standard on the Sony ICF-C112. Reliable and easy.......2007-04-10
I like this alarm clock. Its basic and the price reflects that.
basic.......2007-03-12
I purchased this clock for my sons room. It has everything he needs-the time and an alarm/radio. The numbers are nice and big, but not so bright that it keeps you up at night.
Great Radio - Great Sound Quality.......2007-03-08
This is a great clock radio. It has really great reception on both the AM and FM dials. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the radio reception.
It has a sleep timer that will automatically shut the radio off after one hour. You only have to press the large round "sleep" button on top of the radio and fall asleep to your favorite radio station. Turn the radio off first and then press the sleep button to set the sleep timer.
The time is easy to read from acroos the room without getting out of bed or reaching for your glasses. The only reason I don't give this radio 5 stars is because it only has one speaker.
Looks Good, Sound quality okay too, BUT.......2007-01-26
The numbers are way to bright, and the alarm "BUZZER" does not have a VOlUme ConTroL. Otherwise, very solid built, nice design, but it is hard to memorize where the differnt function dials and buttons are.
WAY easy to find the snooze bar tho'

Not bad for the price, but loud.......2006-10-09
After 2 years with a GE alarm clock that required a doctorate to program I just ordered this one. I love all things Sony. The numbers are large and just the right brightness for light sleepers. The switchs, lights, and knobs all make sense. For the price, its a great alarm clock. For the reasons below I must return it, but for the average user it should be fine.
The provisos are as follows:
First, the small one. As an employee who's schedule varies, I find the alarm set features annoying. You cannot go back in time, but rather have to scroll forward around the horn in order to change the time from 7:00 to 6:45. For someone who gets up at the same time everyday, this should not be a problem.
The second, and very large problem for myself is the volume of the alarm. It is loud, VERY loud. Even the soft setting is enough to startle me out of sleep and I am a very heavy sleeper. This I could get used to. However, my wife is a lighter sleeper and my 2 month old daughter (who sleeps in the room with us) is a very light sleeper. I now awake to a loud alarm clock and a screaming baby. For the average user, this will not be a problem, but if you dislike loud alarms, skip this one.

Nice at first but..........2006-05-10
Bought this clock radio about six months ago. As stated above, display is bright, but not unnecessarily so. Radio sensitivity is very good. Sound quality is very good. Alarm indicator on clock face very useful. Buzzer sound level adjustment on rear panel.
Durability is poor. Radio volume stopped being adjustable. Opening the radio (impossible without breaking a few plastic clips) to check if I could fix it myself showed that a tiny pin on the volume thumbwheel broke, and is not possible to glue back together. Even if it were possible to re-glue the part, it would only break again or damage the volume potentiometer. Everyday controls should last longer than six months. Will not waste time with warranty claim; shipping costs would be higher than the cost of a new clock-radio. Will not purchase Sony again. Not recommended if you actually want to use the controls.
Best Alarm Clock Ever.......2005-05-08
You can either wake up to the radio or this really annoying beep sound.....I prefer the annoying beep sound cuz it makes me want to get up just the turn it off. No other alarm clock has ever worked for me, and this one does. Sony is the best in everything they make, so I knew that this alarm clock would wake me up in the morning! A must buy even for deep sleepers!
A Very Bright Display But a Good Clock.......2004-07-13
This is a pretty nice little clock from Sony selling for a pretty nice price. I found mine at Wal-Mart three nights ago and I was impressed by its performance. It's a standard alarm clock in the Dream Machine series, but it has all the features you'll need out of a digital alarm clock. The clock itself has a sleek, sophisticated appearance, a medium-sized LED display, a single alarm which you can use with your choice of buzzer or radio, sleep and snooze functions, full power clock back-up, and of course the radio itself. It also has a small build and a large frontal display, which means it can stay out of the way while still giving you a good-sized display. However, there are a few cons about this clock radio, the biggest of all beingthe LED itself. The LED is bright, so during the night it can light up the room pretty well. If you like to sleep in total darkness like me, this can be a problem! However, if you turn the clock around so it faces the wall or put a book or something in front of it, it isn't as much of a problem anymore. Another problem (at least for some) is that the sleep and buzzer volume functions are preset and are unconfigurable. This isn't a problem for me though since I never use the buzzer or sleep function. All in all, if you're looking for an inexpensive clock that is reliable andhas all the features you're looking for in an alarm clock without all thebells and whistles, this is your clock!
