Great Little Phone Set.......2006-07-26

This phone set is loaded with easy to use features and functions. For example, ounce you have programmed in your phone book into one of the phones, the menu has a feature that allows you to send the entire phone book to each of the other two handsets. It also allows you to capture an in-coming phone number on one hand set and then send just that one number to the other handsets. Not only is it loaded with neat functions, but the handsets are quite small. I have a Motorola RAZR wireless phone and the Uniden DCT6483 handsets are shorter and narrower than the RAZR!(That includes the length of the fixed antenna)

I also liked the price of the remanufactured unit. When I received the phone set it was packaged as if it were brand new. It included the instruction manual as well as a limited warrenty and all the components were wrapped in plastic bags.

Nice idea, but..........2007-07-26

I've bought this product at Marshall's for $30.00 (!!!!). The idea is nice: it uses GPS system to record distance, pace, altitude and calories burned. The instruction states it may take up to 90 seconds to get GPS signal outdoors; while it worked nicely around my rural Pennsylvania house, it flatly refused to register anything for about 3-5 minutes in Brooklyn, NY. Unfortunately it doesn't allow you to do automatic 1-mile split time. It is difficult to put on the arm. The real problem is: after I changed the battery it stopped working properly and I can no longer use it! I guess I got $30.00 worth of use, but paying over $100... I don't think so! I was also not able to register the product for warranty over the internet, because it asks for Registration Number that doesn't exist; to register it by mail you have to send a card to United Kingdom!
