You should ask your self this question before you think about buying this Item. WHO is this Visual Land company? This item worked wonderful until the 5th day. It did not work unless it was plugged in the wall. That could be the reason they give---as they say a free wall charger.
I emailed there co. and got a sorry but they left out the return confirmation number.
Caution do no buy from this company no matter how attractive the price.
Pay more money and buy from a name we all know is reputable.

Doesn't work no my Cingular Motorola V557.......2007-08-07

I bought this to transfer #s, as we switched form Cingular to T-Mobile.

When I tried to get it to read from or write to the Cingular SIM, it just said 'err' (error). The instructions said this was an input or output error, most likely from a PIN lock on the SIM. I checked on the phone, and the PIN feature was not on. I called Cingular, and they said they didn't show a default PIN for this phone, or how to change it.

I was able to get this reader to backup and write to a T-Mobile SIM card, so I feel the problem is with the Cingular SIM, and not this product.

I think it would be great if this would work with my Cingular SIM card, but it doesn't, so there's $12.58 down the drain. Not even worth sending it back.

This device which I recently recieved is just to back-up your SIM phone numbers and names, NOT to preview on its screen, it will NOT display your names and numbers, it will just tell you how many numbers it backed up in the device. It has 4 (A,B,C, and D)memory banks to store names and numbers in, then you can choose to later restore them back to your SIM card. It only displays the time in a 24hr format and its functions, easy to function device. I guess it's an ok product to back up your SIM numbers...
