This product doesn't come with the program needed for putting mp3's into it's memory. The web site where the program must be downloaded doesn't exist. The manufacturer is out of business. The seller sent me the program by email. It was an executable file which outlook wouldn't let me have until I went into the registry and disabled that part of outlook. But even then the program was corrupt. The seller then stopped returning my emails.
But wait, there's more. The little green clock comes with one song already on it. But there is no volume control. It always plays at maximum volume. The other night we watched 1408, the movie about a haunted hotel room. Pretty scary movie. About a half hour after it was over and we were asleep in bed, the green alarm clock went off playing the wierd song at full volume. I jumped up and turned it off. I said if that happens again I'm outa here. My wife said, you'd do that wouldn't you. You'd run and leave me here. That's right baby.
Also there is no snooze button. The cable which is supplied is some archaic monster from the early 90's with an RJ45 or something on one end and a parallel cable on the other. Not USB. Obviously the seller bought the lot of these from the bankrupt manufacturer probably for pennies and he's selling them for $30 plus shipping. The product doesn't work at all. It's useless. Don't buy it. You are being ripped off and Amazon is supporting very bad people. I used to respect Amazon. What's going on with them?

Since everything has been said before, I can only agree with majority of reviews. This phone is a total rip-off.
So quiet I can't hear anyone - though it's crystal-clear.......2005-04-02
With the volume turned all the way up to 4, I can barely hear the person I'm talking to. I had similar problems with my previous GE (2.4 GHz), but this is even worse - even adding a headset turned up to its full volume didn't help. Otherwise the call quality is really clear, but what's the point if it's too quiet?

This phone's quality seems fine, but it only has earpiece volume settings that go from 1-4 and the 4 isn't very loud. Sound quality was ok, not great.<br />

Can't Hear!.......2004-09-25
I didn't find the reception as bad as the sound quality. It has 4 volume settings and if you are speaking to someone with a soft voice, forget trying to hear what they are saying to you. I usually have to switch to my GE 2.4GHz phone in my bedroom and then I can hear fine. I would love the phone if I could hear what the caller was saying. P.S. I do not have any hearing problems though this phone makes me question that!
Horrible phone.......2004-08-26
While it sounds like this phone has horrible reception, it actually appears to be a design flaw in the receive side on the phone line. Either way, you get to listen to static (other people hear you fine) and this is the worst sounding phone I've ever heard. Avoid this phone at all costs as it is much worse than the discount cordless phones you see from time to time.
Good ergonomics though. Hopefully Target will take this back.
