The Nano Plus is much more than just a music player; it includes an FM tuner, voice/FM recording, and line-in encoding for direct connection and recording from any audio source. Use the Nano Plus to record music directly from your CD player, without a computer.
Of course, if you do have a computer you can transfer audio and data files in seconds with "drag-and-drop" ease--and without software--using the player's USB 2.0 connection. Meanwhile, the Auto Synchronization feature makes it easy to transfer your favorite songs and albums from CDs through the line-in port. Battery life is outstanding, allowing you to listen to music for up to 18 hours on a single AAA battery. I bought this about a year back to gift it to my brother... I guess he is using it regularly and is working fine.. I got it for a good price at that time and quality of this product is good too.. I transfered about 150 songs into it and listened to them.. it was a good quality sound and was very easy to use too.

Others have described this unit fully, so I won't do so here. Highlights are:
(1) About the size of a pack of gum and comes with an arm-band carrier which is great for running
(2) Has an FM radio and microphone built in (and a line-in jack)
(3) Runs on an AAA battery (my sons' Ipods all died prematurely because of the rechargeable batteries which aren't replaceable)- for me it is easier to carry a few AAA batteries than a charger
(4) An incredible number of settings and modes that are easy to access once you get used to the toggle-press switch
(5) Extremely easy to drag and drop songs into organizing folders on the PC interface
(6) Tiny display is amazingly informative, with song time, repeat mode, battery life, equalization setting, and song title all displayed when a song is playing (display changes when accessing other functions).
I have only one minor complaint, that is not documented: You are limited to 60 song folders (including the one or two folders that are built in). You can set up more than that on the PC interface, but the player ignores them.
Survived water.......2007-09-25
I have had my player for a little over year now, and I like it. But what I want to tell you about is it's durability. I have dropped my mp3player, and all the normal things to abuse it. But two nights ago I dropped it in a cup of iced tea. I got it out, got the battery out, and blew on both the player and battery it to dry them. The music stored on it still played, and after one day of drying out, the radio works as well. That's what I wanted to say.
creative labs is a bad company w/ bad product.......2007-08-01
I owned this device for 5 months and it just stopped working... I went though all the proper channels for repair and was told they want at least $25.00 to "work" on my warranty repair. It turns out only parts are covered for a year and labor only for 3 months. This is NOT what I call standing behind your product.
DON'T BUY CREATIVE PRODUCTS! Not only are they poorly made, but Creative knows this and doesn't stand behind their own products.

Why WhY WHY do companies always discontinue their bombproof, proven and reliable products in favor of the latest, greatest and inherantly buggy? Stupid move, Creative. This player is phenomonal. The Zen Stone Plus - it's presumed replacement - isn't even close. Sigh.

Zen Nano Plus: A Very Decent MP3 Player.......2007-02-24
For a purchase price of slightly less than $[...], the Zen Nano Plus offers some really nice features--assuming of course that 1 GB storage is ample for your needs. The unit comes with a case and clip, suitable for either belt-attachment or to the included arm-band, headphones, adequate software, and an AAA battery. The FM digital tuner is really awesome in its ability to accurately scan for local stations, lock them in with presets, allow for recording capability, and to provide incredibly clean, excellent sound from low to high frequencies. Battery life varies, depending upon settings and use, and I don't regret investing in a couple of rechargeable NiMH 1.2 v 1000 mAh batteries instead. The unit is well-built, the control buttons and scroller/select are well-placed, menu navigation easy, although the display numerics and icons might require reading glasses for some. Other features & applications are very good, and this unit is significantly better than most MP3 players in its price range.

Warranty Alert.......2007-01-18
This product comes with 90 day warranty and 1 year limited warranty. If you want a copy of the warranty, it's on the installation disc. My player quit functioning after about 4 months. The limited warranty is practically worthless. Creative charges your credit card if you want to talk with customer service after 90 days. E-mail support is free. They require the model #, which is not printed on the product or on the documentation. The model # is on their website, but Creative makes it difficult to obtain support. Creative sends form email instructing you to update the firmware. Before updating firmware you must back-up your music. The firmware update also removes the FM recording feature. It did not fix my player. If you return product for warranty service, Creative charges a fee for diagnosis and handling plus any added labor costs to fix the player. Bottom line, if your player breaks down after 90 days, it is probably not worth the time and money to obtain warranty service. I will not buy another product from Creative Labs. Try a quality brand.

Printheads, who knew?.......2007-12-05
Not me, until my Officejet 7130xi told me that it needed new printheads nearly a year ago. I bought all of them here at amazon, installed them and things have been fine ever since. At least as far as the printheads go.
HP14 Magenta Printhead.......2007-10-20
Although it's a bummer that the hp officejet d135 is designed with the printheads and inkcartridges separate (so they have to be replaced sperately) this product was a cinch to install. Printheads on this model of the officejet typically last about three years and are as easy to replace as an ink cartridge.
Works as advertised.......2007-09-13
This was the first time I've replaced the yellow print head (replaced the magenta once before). I've had my Officejet d125xi for about 4-1/2 yrs with relatively light usage. You can tell the printhead is going out when the color seems to be off and calibration doesn't help, and eventually the printer will let you know it needs to be replaced. Once replaced, print color and quality returns back to normal, however, depending on your printer, you may need to recalibrate. Overall the printhead works as advertised.

Hewlett Packard C4922A HP14 Magenta Printhead.......2007-01-18
The printhead works as expected and there is a noticeable improvement in printed output. Now I need to consider replacing the other 3 printheads, which tend to show some horizontal banding instead of producing a solid color bar during the HP cleaning/test page routines. Despite multiple cleaning cycles the banding isn't rectified, a condition worsened by intermittent use. Printhead replacement is rather expensive, especially for a D145 with less than 1000 printed pages, although it is an aging 3-year-old unit. A full set of printheads and one set of ink cartridges is half the cost of a whole new MFP, so instead of replacing printheads, maybe I'll bite the bullet the next time it's up for new ink...
