Protect only the lines requiring protection. Eliminate expensive five-pin blocks while using economical 66 Blocks. Eliminate redundant cross-connects by adding protection directly at the 66 Block. I just purchased this product last week from Amazon (reseller: Beach Audio) for $89.72 and now it's shot up quite a bit. it's the same item as iGo BoomTube H2O1 STWBT21 and it's great. Watched the Bourne Supremacy last night running off my laptop, epson projector and the boomtube, felt like a mini-theater setup. With the portability, rechargeable battery and ability to plug into any audio device including an adapter for cell phones, this is a great product.

the only bad part is that if u lose the charger like i did, it's hard to find another one (i still haven't found one yet) :(

Boomtube - Cheap and excellent and portable.......2007-02-10

This was the most cost-effective solution I've found to play and port around speakers for the iPod. I even like the retro pipe-like appearance (as opposed to space-New-Age iPod accessories that look like they belong in the Woody Allen movie, "Sleepers"). It was the price that is the most attractive feature and I've used this for over a year without problems.
