It works fine, I like the fact that I don't have to use a loud buzzer to wake me up and that you can set the alarm for 7/5 or 2 days. The display is hard to see, but all the good features outweigh the 1 bad.

This phone had everything I really needed: phone, dual alarm, and even had alarm options (I use the church bells -- nicer than a blaring alarm that startles you out of bed). What I don't like (and for me it's a big CON), is that the numbers are much too difficult to read from any distance whatsoever because they are so light. It basically looks blank or like 88:88 unless you are close up. This is no good to me when I am trying to see the time from across the room while getting ready for work or from bed to see how many more minutes I can stall before I have to really get up to get ready. Even though I just bought this 2 months ago, I am back to find another model -- I'll miss the church bells in the morning....

Good alarm clock ,terrible phone.......2006-02-18
I bought this because I liked the way it is compact and fits well on a bedside table. It also combines many features into one. However the phone is completely worthless, it cuts out, has awful clarity and is quite ineffective for hearing your caller. I am replacing it with two separate units once again, phone and alarm clock. I don't know why someone can't make a good bedside alarm clock/phone that looks good and has good function???

I searched around for a while before buying this clock. It "talks" to you when you get a call, letting you know who is phoning you. The display brightness is adjustable, as well as the readout. I especially like how you can set the alarm for weekends, weekdays, or 7 days a week. That comes in handy for me. I have one alarm set for 6 am on weekdays, and 7 am on weekends when I can sleep in a little longer. The handset has a button you can push to make the other person's voice louder. The display is easy to read. The radio works well. The only thing I would change about this phone is that there are only three nature sounds, and they aren't realistic. It's impossible to read the display when you are standing above the radio at an angle, but that is no big deal. The phone looked complicated to use at first, but after reading the instructions thoroughly and using it for a while, I can use it with the lights off. I got mine in silver, but I think I would have preferred the other color (white, I think).
