thanks for shipping in a timely fashion however, had i not already had a ton of gadgets i would have been in a bad way.... you shipped my product with a power cord that doesn't even belong to it.... thanks alot... just so happens my camera, phone, and other mp3's i already own use the same cord... i would have been ticked off had i not had all the other stuff with the same cords....
Batteries Do NOT Last........2006-05-19
Bought in Dec 05. Have had problems with the batteries after about 2-3 months. Can't seem to get it to play over 2-5 songs without it shutting down due to low power. It's my understanding that the batteries are non-replaceable. I guess these units are disposable. I really enjoyed this unit, I bought a second one in Jan 06. Both now are pretty much useless due to battery problems. Both units seem not to charge from the wall charger that came with them. Both only charge from the USB port on my computer. Cheap thrill for friends, not real practical for use.

I got this player for my kid and it is great. It plays video and MP3. You can also organize the files into subfolders so it is easy to use. I highly recommend the player to anyone that is looking for a great deal on an awesome player!

This thing is great! I recently bought a 1970's home that had only one cable tv jack in the whole house, nowhere near where I wanted to put a TV. This thing was very handy while I was crawling aroudn the crawlspace and attic. It's great for testing those self-done coaxial cables to make sure they work before you hook up to the cable company and are ready to watch tv.

The Midland GXT700 radio provides you with 22 GMRS/FRS (General Mobile Radio Service/Family Radio Service) UHF channels, and up to a 26-mile range in open territory. And while most GMRS channels require an FCC license to operate, channels eight through 14 are low-power FRS channels that are license free. The GXT700 radio has an easy-to-read, backlit LCD display that shows you channel and other relevant radio status information at a glance even in bad lighting, and a large easy-to-use keypad on the front for one-touch access to important features. This radio even has a VOX function with selectable sensitivity levels, for when you want voice-activated transmission for hands-free operation.
The GXT700 radio is full of features such as a call alert to notify your intended receiver of incoming traffic, a channel scan to locate activity, and an auto squelch to filter out weak signals. This unit provides both High and Low power settings, so you can choose to maximize transmission distance or save power. The GXT700 also features keystroke tones, a roger beep that confirms transmission conclusion, and a silent operation for quieting beeps, tones and alerts when you can't afford to make extra noise.
Midland's GXT700 radio is constructed to be water resistant, so it can be used in most any environment, and has a keypad lock to avoid accidentally changing the radio settings. This radio runs on four AAA batteries, and includes a battery life extender function, as well as a low-battery indicator so you never get caught offguard without power. User's can also purchase an optional Midland 4.8-volt rechargeable NiMH battery pack that can be recharged while in the radio. lacking in extras.......2007-05-25
I assumed this had the features listed for other Gxt series but it doesn't. The radio has 1 senitivity level for vox (as oppossed to 3), has no 100+privacy channel availability (like other gxt models), no NOAA weather channel, and no rechargable battery pack (which I didnt' expect it to). The range was about the same or slightly less that the uniden 2059ck (20 mile) set I also got (7-8 blocks where one is in the house and the other is in a car). The uniden had much better features (see my review). The brochure they send with the unit states " all gxt series radios" and then list the features including 3 levels of VOX, 121 privacy codes, monitor and channel scan (there is monitor feature but no scan), vibrate alert, noaa weather channel. I got the surveillance headsets and on vox they work well (although you have to turn your head to your lapel to talk into the mic and be heard). Antonline is great, I got the product in 1 week from order, shipped next day UPS.
