Companies can set up a one-to-one system, where only two people are on the same frequency, or they can create a group channel for large-scale communication. The radio's 56 UHF business-exclusive frequencies (FCC license required) ensure that users have access to clear signals without competing with hobbyists and other casual radio enthusiasts. Plus, the radio offers 38 analog and 83 digital interference eliminator codes for added clarity and privacy.
Though the one-watt radio is often used in indoor retail environments, it's not restricted to up-close conversation, as its signal covers up to 200,000 square feet indoors (or 15 floors) or 5 miles outdoors, depending on the nearby terrain and weather conditions. Thanks to the wide broadcast range, the radio excels whether calling for backup during a tense security situation, radioing the front desk that a customer is upset, or checking with other servers on the status of an empty table. And the quicker that employees react to a disturbance or accident, the better for the customer.

This radio is used in our warehouse/manufacturing facility. Plant wide we have around 20 in use for ~2+ years with no failures. They are a good radio for heavy use. The CLS1410 has 4 channels which is nice if you have different groups using radios.

I bought these for my company which runs large scale productions and runs a movie festival. They work great with the optional headsets, even in loud environments. I would give 5 stars but I feel like they are too expensive for what they are.

AWFUL.......2007-09-10
This clock turned out to be an absolute piece of junk. It worked for the first couple days, then started to gradually go faster, so that I'd come home at the end of the day and it would be half an hour ahead of all the other clocks. New batteries, etc. made no difference.

A no-frills clock-radio which works fine. I wish they had included a wire antenna like the Sony ones for better reception. But for the price I paid, no complaints!!
