Thanks to a newly designed chip and optimized acoustic cabinet that provides clearer audio at higher volumes, the Motorola XU2100 offers a significant improvement of sound quality over earlier Motorola two-way radio models. The radio has also been designed not only to be weatherproof, shockproof, and drop-proof, but also to meet MilSpec810 and IP54 standards. In other words, this is a radio that's built to take the harshest work conditions your job can dish out.
A radio is only as good as its power source. With the included XTN NIMH rechargeable battery, you will get up to 13 hours of continuous work between recharges, and if you find yourself running a third shift on the same radio, you can throw in two AA batteries to keep the talk flowing for another 22 hours.
The Motorola XU2100 also lets you spread out. With vastly improved selectivity, sensitivity, and voice compression in the receiver, you can talk up to 250,000 square feet, or up to 20 floors in a multi-level building. (Talk range may vary depending on terrain and conditions.)

Speaking of compatibility, this radio can operate seamlessly with all Motorola Spirit professional two-way radios, including all radios in the Spirit M-Series, the Spirit GT, the Spirit HP, the Spirit Pacer, and the Spirit S-Series. So you can add XTN Series radios as you go, or anytime you need to replace radios or purchase additional radios for your fleet.
The XU2100 is designed for split-second cloning using the multi-unit charger. I bought these speakers based on the stellar reviews and the price. I'm not really all that impressed.
Great Speakers at a Great Price.......2007-12-20
These speakers are definitely worth the price. I have owned a Creative 5 satellite speakers with base and paid over a hundred dollars for it. It was junk. The base just hummed and the speakers were low quality. For decent quality and power get the Logitech speakers. "These are pretty good speakers," is all that needs to be said.

Bought as a gift for a 16 YO son out of state. I haven't heard the speakers, but my son is very pleased with them. He uses them as room speakers with a Walkman CD vs. as PC speakers.
Good desktop speaker at its price range.......2007-12-12
I have been looking around for some desktop speakers and not thinking about spending too much money on it. I looked at many models on-line and also in the stores and finally I decided to buy this set. I like the design that it comes without a bulky power converter. At the price of $29 when I purchased it, it produces sound loud enough for my PC and it looks solid without the usual cheap plastic feel. I didn't give it a five star because its sound tends to be blur at extremely higher volume and at very deep base setting. Since I use real stereo equipment for listening to music, I wouldn't turn on the volume very high on this speakers anyway. But...let me tell you, I use this set of speakers to play a old Warcraft III game and it really sounds very well, loud, deep and stereo. For a set of desptop speakers, this will be my best choice for under $30.

While these speakers won't blow you away with quality or sound, they are very good for the price. The only complaint I have is the blinding orange light that lights up a dark room to let you know they are turned on.
