Poor job of switching.......2007-01-26
It is poorly constructed. I have to wiggle the HDMI cable that goes out of the switcher in order for it to function. The cable is fine, it's just that the switcher is flimsy.
Does not switch audio.......2005-08-02
I purchased this a few months ago and was using this with the Samsung HD Upconversion DVD player HD-841. Since it was being used with a DVI output, I did not have a problem with the switcher. I recently bought a LG HDMI output DVD player which is where the problem surfaced. This unit does not follow the HDMI specification. It only switches video (does a great job switching video) but no audio. I contacted the manufacturer who told me that it should never be advertised as it is on the Amazon marketplace website. It should be advertised explicitly stating that it does not switch audio. DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO DO HDMI SWITCHING. IT DOES NOT WORK!

Cobra's microTALK radios come with features that make using FRS simple and enjoyable. The Cobra FRS 305 features an automatic squelch that prevents the radio from activating until a voice signal is received. With squelch, you won't hear random popping and hissing from other electronic devices or atmospheric signals.
This radio comes with all 14 available FRS channels plus 38 CTCSS subchannels, or privacy codes, per channel. CTCSS codes are actually tones that "code" and "decode" a signal, allowing the people in your group to transmit on the same channel without having to listen to other radio traffic on the same channel. Good for use within 1 mile.......2001-10-01
I purchased this 2-way basically for fun. We have used them in our cars to see how far the range would reach and are disappointed to say that the 3 mile range is not at all realistic if you live around any buildings. If you have a large field or are out on a boat the range is a little closer to 3 miles, but not quite. This is a 2-way for the mall or a festival. A definite plus is the ease of use. The buttons and instruction book are simple and it took us approximately 5 minutes to learn most functions. The belt clip is a nice accessory but is a pain when trying to put the antenna up and down because you have to remove it from the case each time. It weighs the same as the 4 AAA batteries it requires and is smaller than some cellular phones.
