I purchased this to use in conjunction with a Sony Cassette adapter. (I could also have used it with my iRiver wireless transmitter if I hadn't just thrown it out in frustration.) It plugs in, it works, it's a beautiful thing. The extra USB cable is nice but not vital.
It's inexpensive and it works. What more could I ask for?

I bought this and another company's DC charger from the Apple store. This one works great. I gave the other one away and bought a second one of these. Compact, easy to plug in and use with my iPhone. I highly recommend this one.
Does the Job and Cheap (Good/Bad).......2007-09-18
I was looking for a simple iPod charger for the car, already having a 3.5mm stereo input jack on my stereo, and this does the job well. I like that the cigarette lighter adapter part of the charger is not hardwired; it has a female USB socket, into which you can plug the supplied male USB to iPod plug or male USB to male mini-USB cable (great for my fiancee's phone). This means that if I lose the Griffin cable, I can still use the standard white USB iPod cable for charging.
The reason I take off a star is because I dropped the cigarette lighter adapter part on the ground while walking on the sidewalk, and the shell came apart and several metal pieces went flying. It's commendable that even if it "breaks" like this, no plastic was actually harmed and it can be re-assembled fairly easily. I'm still missing one of the non-essential metal pieces, however, and thinking that the only thing holding the part together is the close fit of the cigarette lighter worries me a little.
All in all, it's an inexpensive and versatile product and if it weren't for my clumsiness it would have no visible faults.

Very precise control.......2007-11-29
This mouse doesn't seem to have the widespread success of other high precision or gaming mice; neverthelss, I have been using it for a couple YEARS now ( gaming and nongaming ) and am very satisfied with it. While some of its features are of no use to me it does have what is most important to me.
Pros:
1. Light touch to click, less strain on your fingers
2. Light overall weight, less strain on your wrist/arm
3. scroll wheel that doesn't "glide", some clickiness helps you tell how far you are scrolling.
4. Very high "precision", don't have to hunt for what you want to click on!
Cons:
1. There are a lot of buttons, but its not really possible to keep a finger on each one all the time, so it does take some extra effort to use them ( but I don't need them all anyway ).
2. Since the mouse is relatively lite ( which I like ), the cord tends to pull the mouse around when you let go of it. I have a mouse jungie I bought a few years ago ( might be out of business? ) which olds the mouse cord in the air with a fixed amount of slack. This setup works very well.
3. It does click pretty loudly but I guess I have gotten use to it because I haven't thought about it for a while until I read the other reviews.

what can you say about a $40+ mouse when its primary function fails.
left clicks started registering as double clicks (annoying in windows)
now they fail to register 80% of the time, so guns will shoot then stop then shoot. (really annoying)

Within a year of using this product (pretty much just for everyday things like checking email, not a real heavy PC gamer) the mouse just kinda crapped out. It triple clicks everything all the time and is rather upsetting. Creative, go back to making internal hardware please.

This mouse is terrible. I bought this mouse a little over a year ago. And after about 3 months of usage it simple quit responding to most anything you tried to do. I would literally have to click something close to a dozen times before it would actually "Double-Click". Not to mention the feel of the mouse is just too bulky in my opinion. I fell into the hype of the "Fatal1ty" product line, which many gamers did. And what many gamers will tell you is "Don't ever buy anything with the Fatal1ty trademark on it, it will die." For instance, look at reviews for the Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty. Another product with massive hype and marketing towards gaming enthusiasts. However, the product itself has had more problems than it has successes.

this mouse has been with me for about 8 months now,
- overall functions are good (i broke the weight thing by dropping it from a high distance)
- the functions are totally cool, works, and "useless" (i am one of a heavy gamer, dont see the point of weight, sensitivity during game play, third button.. but yes it is cool)
- if you play counter strike or other first person shooter, i rather not recommend you for it, because when you need to lift the mouse up for moving the mouse without changing anything in-game.. u got to lift it higher than normal mouse... but i am now used to it, so i got no problem
