Does go out from time to time, but that's mainly due to the fact I live in LA and there are no free radio stations anymore. Great deal!

I have tried the old monster cable and wasn't very happy with it as there was a lot of static with it. This auto scan cable allows you to do a search to find the clearest channel. We've had the new cable for about a month and would recommend it to others.
do not purchase if you have the ipod touch.......2007-12-04
I purchased this product last week because a few people i know have used this and said it is the best fm transmitter for the ipod. 5 minutes after it came in i went to my truck to hook up my ipod, there was nothing. I am not sure why, but the radio station will not appear on the ipod touch screen and will not allow you to know what station you are tuned into to set your radio to. On monster's website ( as of 12/3/07) this is the first product listed on the page for touch accessories. After waiting on hold for over 30 minutes to talk to a tech support rep. from monster, i found out that the page on www.monstercable.com was wrong and that if you have a ipod touch, you should not buy this. Monster agreed to send me the correct one in exchange for this one. The one that is being sent to me is the Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus.
Did not work at all.......2007-12-03
I tried this with both 2nd and 3rd gen nanos. The 2nd gen one would continuously attempt to tune on it's own. It would occasionally stop on an even tenth of a MHz which was completely useless as here in the US we use odd tenth MHz intervals. I tried to see if it was on the wrong region selection but the unit I had also had issues with scrolling through menus on it's own.
With the 3rd gen it would only display the currently tuned station. I got an open box unit, so I don't know if this unit was already broken. I just returned the unit for a refund.

Does not actually support the TiVo.......2006-07-31
TiVo is listed as a supported device but the functionality is not complete. You can't actually step up and down through the menu items one by one, making the remote completely worthless for use with a TiVo. Also, the support website site printed on the back of the packaging does not work, it appears to be misconfigured.
The remote does not have dedicated cursor up/down keys, there's a 'menu' mode you must enter first. For the TiVo, the menu mode button is mapped to the program guide and so there's no menu mode for the TiVo, again, making it worthless.

Nice Radio but not that powerfull.......2007-06-07
We purchased these radios for 2 reasons:
1) We wanted 2 radios with 2 separate chargers and this is one of the few sets with 2 separate docking chargers.
2) We wanted radios that had the same channels as my son's (6 yrs old) small radio.
So this met both of those needs.
The only problems I've had so far is it doesn't have as far a range as it says. All these radios are rated with a range in an open field with no obstructions. In a normal suburb these radios will have a range of about 1 to 1.5 miles because of trees. It didn't matter for us because we mostly wanted to use them around the house, but if you expect to go camping with these don't expect to be able to get too far away from one another.
The other problem is one of the chargers already blew out and I have to find out how to get it replaced.
