I bought a Nano and this item for my wife. Unfortunately, this item is for the old Nanos, not the 3G Nano. Too bad they don't state this in the writeup.

I like the product.
This is the best fm transmitter I've found for Ipod nano 1st gen.
Its not as clear as I'd like it to be but It'll do.

works great with my car...the lil' antenna thing i think helps alot, i had NO volume or static problems like i have had with others...i can also use it with my computer to upload songs...which is great since i lost my cable...this was a great purchase at a Great price...a FM transmiter, car charger, computer cable to upload and charge...dont waste money on others that are double the price

I have now noticed the following problem, there a high frequency din being produced along with the misic. I tried several stations with the same results. It is especially noticeable when the music volume is reduced.
Ok, I now know what seems to be the problem, the firewire power input seems
to be picking up some interference. When I started powering from the mini-USB port the problem went away.

This FM transmitter for the iPod nano works flawlessly. I use it with my white nano (first generation) and I haven't had any problems with it. Compared with the iTrip which I used previously for the 2nd or 3rd generation iPod, the signal seems to be much stronger, even with the antenna retracted. I like the frequency control and LCD frequency display which are available on the front of the device. The transmitter also works as a car recharger, and that is nice as you don't have to worry if the battery is charged. The nano wheel and screen are easily accessible, and the device seems robust and well built, the nano is held securely in by the top cover. The only criticism I might have relates to the size-- but I also realize that may be inevitable in a higher power transmitter with 3 connectors (miniUSB, firewire, and the iPod jack) and front controls. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.
